Ubisoft has announced it's teaming up with RSG to create a "next-generation" theme park based on properties including Assassin's Creed, Just Dance and Rabbids.
Due to open in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, sometime in 2020, the 10,000 square meter park will aim to build on the success the publisher has enjoyed since launching its Rabbids Dark Ride at French park Futuroscope.
“Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game,” said Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. “In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development.”
Ubisoft is really taking the initiative with expanding into new markets of late, with a new Assassin's Creed movie also in development, starring Michael Fassbender as the titular assassin. We got our first look at him in character a couple of weeks ago.
More Assassin's Creed will be released later this year with Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the latest in the long-running franchise taking place in Europe during the industrial age.
