DING! DING! DING!

And with that, the new up and comer John Blade begins to walk to the centre of the squared circle for a spot of grappling. Dolmeth, however, has other plans. He sprints full steam ahead, cocks his arm back and drives it forward, the full mass of his being coming through his shoulder as his bicep collides with the chin of Blade. Dolmeth's fist follows through with the momentum as Blade is almost turned inside out from the impact and Dolmeth slides down, stomach first to the canvas, John Blade laid out behind him. Chris rolls out the ring and begins to walk backwards up the entrance ramp, his middle fingers raised in salute to the entire XWA fan base as Fletcher Fierce looks dumbfounded in the ring.

David Michaels: "Well, that's a new one. Dolmeth opens with a Poverty Line and exits the arena. It seems he's had enough of this business."
Ted Cedar: "But the match is still on David, Fletcher could win this!"

Realising that the match is still going, Fierce dives atop his downed opponent and enthusiastically hooks a leg as the referee slides in position to count the pin.

[ONE!]
[TWO!]
THREE!]

Fierce lets go of the leg allowing it to ungraciously collapse to the canvas, Blade still out of it. "I’m So Bad (Baby I Don’t Care)" starts up as Fletcher Fierce - though confused - celebrates his victory.

The bell tolls in the distance setting this three way dance, or more appropriately named Triple Threat match in motion, the three very different competitors make their way into the centre of the ring.  Glares are shot back and forth, and whilst Fletcher and Blade burn holes in each other’s heads, it seems everybody wants to be in this match but the bearded six foot six brute Chris Dolmeth, impossible to ignore by his fellow ring mates who turn their heads slowly to the big man.  Dolmeth simply sighs and backs away with his hands up in front of him, mouthing “Don’t mind me, fuck this match!” Dolmeth turning away as the crowd boo him out, the  couldn’t care less façade disintegrating in an instant as “The Brash Brit” spins on a dime and bolts towards Blade with a huge clothesline; investing every pound of his body weight into the surprise attack.   Johnathan ducks, only just, around the executioners mighty axe by sheer instinct, thinking without thinking he scoops Dolmeth up onto his shoulders for his Razor’s Blade manoeuvre.

Blade slips free and shoves Blade aside, lining John up for a punch only to deal with an oncoming Fletcher Fierce forces him to change his target!   Fletcher sprints at Dolmeth with ambitious intentions, scooped up into a flapjack lift by the more experienced foe, Fletcher escapes in mid-air to land safely on the mat behind Chris, the quick-thinking Fierce bulldozing Dolmeth head-first into John’s midsection!    Blade stumbles backward clutching his gut in clear distress, Dolmeth straightening out with a bewildered expression, turning about to a swift Fierce-approved superkick which connects with his cheekbone!  Dolmeth dramatically spins on his heels and staggers wayward leaving Blade to headbutt Fierce in full view of the referee, all perfectly legal, before Blade traps Fletcher’s leg for a capture suplex had it not been for Chris Dolmeth, the bearded brute, clasping Blade up from behind to fling Johnathan, and by extension Fletcher, through the air with a German Suplex!  Both Blade and Fierce smack against the mat on their head and necks in dramatic fashion and the crowd implode with cheers for the magnificent feat, despite their differences with the supposed ‘Reverend‘ and Chis covers Fletcher.[/color]

THR-KICKOUT!

Fierce kicks out with the legs of a thoroughbred, Dolmeth getting straight up and ignoring Fletcher for John Blade, with a kidney shot to the rising Canadians gut, battering down an already battered Blade’s defences before wrangling him in a headlock.  Fletcher comes stumbling in from the sidelines only Chris turns slightly and kicks Fierce in the ribs, Fletcher wearily hobbling to the ropes as Blade uses the distraction to break out of the headlock and shove Chris into the ring ropes in front of him, taking a step back before rushing at Dolmeth and clobbering him with a clothesline spilling Dolmeth over the top rope and to the thin rubber mats ringside, before he can celebrate he is suddenly rolled up by Fletcher! One!  Two!  Blade powers out and Fletcher reaches his feet with a headstand and a fancy flip, skipping into a full blown sprint for the ring ropes, Blade throws himself at Fierce’s feet forcing Fletcher to skip over him or risk tripping on his face, Fletcher comes back on the rebound and the deceptively agile Blade leapfrogs a fraction too early, not early enough for Fletcher however, grabbing Blades calves mid jump to brutally blast Blade across the mat with the sitout powerbomb he calls ‘Fucking FIERCE!” and the crowd goes wild!  Fletcher continues to hold Blade’s legs upright with an ambitious cover.

One!

Two!

Thre—KICKOUT!

Blade kicks out, just as Dolmeth comes sliding into the ring on his stomach to make the save anyway, Fletcher Fierce is already back upon both feet, edging closer to Blade and Dolmeth as he anticipates their return to their feet, kicking both men right between the eyes, snatching them up in double front facelocks and manipulating them through the ring ropes in a very interesting set-up reminiscent of his mentor James Best’s Welcome To Electricity and while Blade is compliant, Dolmeth fights out of his bind and steps forward off the ring ropes,  going straight for Fletchers legs and heaving him from the mat, instinctively Fletcher kicks his legs and squirms about, doing his best to throw Dolmeth off his game, failing terribly as Dolmeth drops him with a dramatic Spinebuster!  The crowd exclaim in awe as Dolmeth rolls to the outside and immediately begins clearing the top of the announce table, scooping Fierce up by the head and neck, looking to introduce the debuting star to the Vendetta commentary panel for the very first time!  Fortunately for Fierce the introductions will have to wait however, as “Big John Match” bolts forward and rams Chris mid-powerbomb right into the edge of the announce table!  Dolmeth emits a dull groan, his powerbomb attempt foiled and Fierce, fresh from Dolmeths shoulders, lands both boots on the table top and immediately twists through the air with a Corkscrew Moonsault, knocking both Blade and Chris to the mat!

The crowd begin to rally behind Fletcher Fierce, amazed by what this young star is bringing to the table, setting up dessert it would seem as he clambers slowly onto the table and picks his moment, Blade rises… Chris rises… although both men drift apart rather than stick together as Fletcher had assumed they would, Fierce hesitating on his next move, picking Blade as his target to dive with his legs out in a hurricanrana yet Dolmeth barges his way past Blade to catch Fletcher up in an elevated firemans carry, scream “WEHHHÄAAARRRGGHHH!!!”and catapult Fletcher into a dramatic ‘F-5’spiral of destruction, Fletcher striking the top of the table and breaking it in half and the entire table shatters, panels pop, monitors crack wide open and most importantly Fletcher is decimated as the table caves in and consumes him whole!  Dolmeth thrusts his arms high, worshipping whatever god his cult worships as he combs his hand through his beard.  Wait a minute where’s John Blade, oh that’s right, he’s already in the ring and bouncing off the ropes!  With a quick sprint “Big John Match” bounces back from the far set of ring ropes and flies right through the ring ropes with a suicide dive in a cataclysmic explosion of bodies! While somewhat sloppy in execution, the damage is done as Dolmeth spills to the mat and John throws up twin gang-signs with both arms high, prompting an impressed XWA crowd to cheer him on, Blade clasping his hand across his chest momentarily, ‘dusting the impact away and soldiering on.

Blade pulls Fletcher to his feet by the head and neck, trawling the bearded highflyer over to the announce table and smacking the young star’s head down on it, John spun around by Dolmeth, not a fan of the heavyweights highflying skills, setting upon Blade now with big punches, trying to soften the two hundred and forty pounder up yet Blade is a particularly tough steak to tenderise, blocking Chris and firing back with punches of his own, both men brawling back and forth, tooth and nail.  Fletcher Fierce slips inside the ring undetected, or “Hidden” in Skyrim talk, still sucking up the damage inflicted by the moments of punishment yet he sucks it up like a big boy and boldly skips into a sprint across the ring, ricocheting from the ropes back at both Blade and Dolmeth ringside, thinking suicide dive however Dolmeth pushes forward to absolutely ruin Fletcher’s plans with a people-stopping CHAIR SHOT!!  Having appeased his sadistic mentality, Dolmeth simply takes a walk, circling around John with the chair in hand, jabbing the chair right in Blade’s midsection!

As Fletcher Fierce curls and writhes like a serpent, Dolmeth wastes no time in following up with a cover, in comes Blade yet Dolmeth is on his feet almost instantly to blast Blade across the larynx with an immense clothesline!  Dolmeth breaks into a chuckle, raising his eyebrows and stroking his beard, his arms outstretched as he looks upward at whatever god it is he worships, turning his attention back to Fletcher Fierce only to be duped into a small package roll-up out of nowhere!  One Two!  Dolmeth powers out in a fit at the count of two, scrambling to his feet yet John Blade drills him in the thigh with a dropkick, forcing Chris to all but collapse bar one knee, Dolmeth looking up to see the stern knee of Fletcher Fierce connect with his skull in a lightning quick Shining Wizard! The crowd cheer for the collaboration of John and Fletcher, who nod at one another and grin with temporary victory… very temporary although as Fletcher Fierce kills the unity with an abrupt side slam backbreaker on his unsuspecting foe, the vicious knee on spine brutality he calls Fletch Eater!

One!

Two!!

Blade thrusts out of the very near fall, clearly in distress yet bravely showing the world he still has some fight in him yet, Fletcher smirking a smug smirk and allowing John to find his feet, only to run and kick Blade square between the shoulders very hard!  The crowd response is a mixed one, as Fletcher leans back against the ring ropes, watching Blade struggle to his feet before sprinting at the man tank and leaping through the air, grabbing both shoulders to hit the mat on his back and throw Blade wildly into the air with a Monkey Flip!  The impact of the canvas causes Blade to twist up almost immediately, leaving him wide open for an obvious aerial assault and Fletcher takes the hint, ignoring Dolmeth to clamber up the turnbuckles yet Chris Dolmeth throws a steel chair at his head!  The chair narrowly misses Fierce, who stares back in surprise at Dolmeth, back on his feet and already folding another chair, Fletcher jumps to combat his bearded foe yet the sadistic Chris rams the chair into his gut in mid-air, causing Fierce to grope his gut almost the very second he lands on the mat, quickly flattened out by a second chair strike down on his back

Blade doesn’t wait for the same to happen to him, forcing himself to push on and tackle Dolmeth to the mat, unloading wild punches down upon his bearded foe as the chair hits the mat behind them!  Blade gets upright victorious, looking around at his surroundings in order to plot his next move, taking Dolmeth and running him right into the gleaming naked eye of the turnbuckle!  Dolmeth spins about in a daze, stumbling right into a firemans carry styled lift from John Blade, every vein in Blades neck a testament to the sheer power it requires to lift the beautifully bearded specimen!  Fletcher Fierce shakes his head in protest, clawing to his feet with the assistance of the chair, rushing Blade with it raised high yet Blade, in a freakish feat, tilts slightly to scoop Fierce up as well, carrying both men to the corner of the ring and dumping not one but BOTH of them right on top of the steel chair!

We come back from commercial break and somehow someway Fletcher surprises everyone and covers Blade.

Laura Watts: Here's your Winner... Fletcher Fierce!

=================

The bell rings and Fletcher Fierce sits upright, breaking into a laughing fit, his back polished in sweat as he slowly rolls toward the bottom rope where James Best simply beams back at him, holding both arms out in front of him ready to embrace his new protégé with a victory hug.  From out of nowhere a pair of immaculately clean white boots drives into the skull with a baseball slide!  The crowd respond with a stunned gasp as standing in the ring, leaning toward Fletcher aggressively, was a ginger-haired familiar face the crowd come to know by as Niko… L… Genero!

"Wait a minute... Niko? That’s Niko L Genero is here!  The Baked Bohemian is back in the XWA David and James Best can’t believe it!! "

"I don’t get it, why can’t James believe it? "

"Because… well… S.Q.U.A.S.H that’s why!"

"Who??"

Ted Cedar’s history skills are on point, whilst back to the action James Best freezes, his arms still outstretched and frozen in the air, staring up in wide-eyed disbelief firstly at his concussed protégé then up at Genero as Niko stares at him menacingly, it was adventure time.  James attempts to ease his way out of this situation with a smile that cracks in the corners of his lips, Niko returns the same smile and James cautiously rolls into the ring, rubbing his eyes in sarcastic surprise and both men hug it out.

"Yes!  Yes!  It’s a S.Q.U.A.S.H reunion!  The band is back together!"

"This would be much bigger and badass if  this band you keep blabbering about actually brought out a song.  What the hell is S.Q.U.A.S.H?  A bag of lemons??"

The moment is heart-warming, the moment is manly, the moment is… ruined!  After an uncomfortable yet touching seven seconds or so, Niko arches back and roars like a barbarian, heaving James Best into the air and flattening him across the mat with a brutal belly to back slam!  The crowd both cheer and freak out at the same time, not sure what the hell is happening as James Best flounders about the mat in clear distress, reaching for his hip just as “The Peculiar Pariah” connects a vicious boot with his face!

"OHHH!!!!  What the… what?!"

"Well then!"

Niko trawls James Best up onto his backside by the head and neck, picking up the steel chair nearby and folding it around James throat, running his hand across his ginger stubbled jawline with a wicked grin.  Leaving James seated, Niko looks out to the crowd and begins smacking his own forearm dramatically, those in the crowd who know what’s happening next begin to cheer uncontrollably as Niko turns and sprints into the ropes, bouncing back at full velocity to all but decapitate James with a devastating Sliding Forearm Smash that would make Masato Tanaka proud!

"BUH GAWD! He just broke his neck in half!!"

"Oh man, his head flapped back like a speedball.  That was just… just badass!"

Niko continues to slide on his knee, coming to a stop and grinning as if he’d just won the lotto!  Getting back up and dusting off his tights, staring down at his handiwork of both Fletcher and James on the mat for dramatic effect as flashbulbs light up around the ring.  Taking his eyes off his obvious prize, Niko turns and gestures for a microphone from the ringside lackeys, taking it and switching it on with an audible knock, breathing heavily as he simply leans down and says-

"SAFE!!!!"

With that Niko drops the mic to the mat and rolls out of the ring, ignoring the fans as he walks his way back up the ramp as the theme from Voltron plays.
