Chile midfielder Arturo Vidal has completed his move to Bayern Munich from Juventus.

The German champions have confirmed that Vidal has signed a four-year contract and the 28-year-old moves for a fee reported to be €37million.

Vidal, who scored 35 goals in 124 Serie A appearances for Juventus, has just returned from winning the Copa America with Chile.

Vidal won the double with Juventus and reached the Champions League final last season and had been linked with possible moves to Manchester United and Arsenal.

He told Bayern's official website: "I'm very happy. This is a new step in my career and I want to help the team and win trophies. It's a dream come true for me personally.

"I wanted to take another big step forward in my career. I want to keep developing as a player and win important trophies like the Champions League. I think the best opportunity to do so is with Bayern.

"We weren't a long way off winning all three competitions last season. I hope we can pull it off with Bayern. That has to be the target."

Vidal has previously played in the Bundesliga, having been a key figure in Bayer Leverkusen's successes between 2007 and 2011 when they won the German Cup and finished runners-up in the league.

He added: "I'm thrilled about playing in the Bundesliga again and obviously hope to win it this time. I didn't manage it with Leverkusen back then, but with Bayern there's a very, very good chance."

Vidal moved to Juventus in 2011 and won four consecutive Serie A titles and was the club's player of the season in 2012-13.

He was named man of the match in the Copa America final against Argentina as Chile won their first major honour in a penalty shoot-out.

Chelsea have sold defender Filipe Luis back to Atletico Madrid, the Barclays Premier League club announced on their website.

The 29-year-old Brazilian, a €22million signing from Atletico last summer, returns to the Spanish capital after making only 26 appearances for the Blues.

"We wish him all the best for the future," a club statement read.

Luis has signed a four-year-contract with Atletico for a reported fee of €15million.

Of his 26 appearances for Chelsea, only nine of them were starts in the Premier League after he struggled to displace Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back.

Luis returns to Spain with Premier League and Capital One Cup winners medals and scored once during his year at Stamford Bridge.
