Castlevania: Lords of Shadow developer MercurySteam is teasing its next game, with an update to its website.

The updated site reveals a cigar-smoking man in the pilot seat of some kind of mechanical device or vehicle in what can only be described as a sci-fi setting, with a cryptic message:

“STATUS: Exploring new worlds, fighting strange creatures, discovering new heroes. Expect news soon.”



The Spain-based developer is best known for its 3D Castlevania action games. Lords of Shadow received a 7.5 from IGN for its beauty and change of pace, while Lords of Shadow 2 didn’t fare quite as well, earning a 6.5 rating.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was MercurySteam’s last release back in February 2014.
