It's being reported this morning that the UFC featherweight unification bout between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo could be set for the Dallas Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
UFC 194 on 5 December seems the likely date for the unification battle, but the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is already booked on that night for an Andrea Bocelli concert, meaning the UFC are looking at alternative venues.
The MGM Grand put forward moving the fight to Mandalay Bay, also in Las Vegas. However, the limited capacity of 12,000 means the venue is unlikely to be given the nod.
The AT&T has been mooted as a venue by Dana White, with the UFC president saying he is open to the venue which hosted two Manny Pacquaio fights in 2010, against Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito, and had an average crowd of 45,000.
At the weekend, McGregor claimed the UFC interim featherweight title by defeating Chad Mendes at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas after the US fighter had stood in for outright title holder Aldo, who had injured a rib in training.
In front of a huge - and mostly Irish - crowd, McGregor won with a second round knockout after being under serious pressure from Mendes for the majority of the fight.
