Speaking about X-Men: Apocalypse at San Diego Comic-Con, Charles Xavier actor James McAvoy told IGN, "At the end of this movie, you definitely see my character in a slightly different frame of mind, maybe being a bit more violent."
McAvoy didn't elaborate on the cause and effect of Xavier becoming more violent. When asked about his future on the X-Men film franchise, McAvoy said he expected it to go on as long as "Simon [Kinberg, writer and producer] keeps doing interesting things with it." And, of course, if Apocalypse makes money.
"I'm well up for it," he said about getting involved with more than the three X-Men films he'd already signed up for. McAvoy also remained optimistic about the future of the film series without Magneto and Mystique.
