Norwegian jazz metallers Shining have a penchant for playing shows in out of the ordinary locations.
The band once recorded a video at a demolition site where their rehearsal studios used to be. Now, they've taken things a step further, by performing a gig on top of the Trolltungo, a 2300-foot high cliff in Norway.
As Metal Sucks notes, the show took place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year, in a locale where the sun barely sets.
Norwegian national news outlet NRK had the following to say about the event:
"Trolltunga is about a five hour drive from Bergen. Although the band was flown in by helicopter, some 300 onlookers watched the concert, a few who flew in from as far away as Australia just to catch it and some who just happened to be hiking by."
