With all three teams in the ring, referee Ryu Sanu holds the newly reinvented Tag Team Championships up in the air, signifying that they are on the line in this contest. Sanu then slides the belts out of the ring as three of the men in the ring slide to the outside. Sanu calls for the bell and in return receives three tolls.

DING! DING! DING!

TED CEDAR: “Alright, here we go! Triple Threat, Elimination Style, the winners will walk out the new XWA Tag Team Champions! Starting this match are Cobalt, Leon Astin and Jakob Azazel.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Tag Team Wrestling in the Xtreme Wrestling Association. I didn’t think I’d ever see the day when the Tag Team Titles made their return.”

Right of the bat, Leon Astin charges into the corner where Jakob Azazel stands before leaping into the air, trying to get an early advantage. Azazel dodges the oncoming attack, leaving Astin to collide with the turnbuckles. Azazel steps into the corner to take Astin around the waist from behind and pull him out of the corner. “Sir Realist” lifts Leon Astin into the air before throwing his opposition around with a Release German Suplex. Astin rolls around on the mat in pain after skipping off the mat a few times like a flat stone in water. Azazel turns his attention to Cobalt, who has been relaxing to this point. Cobalt takes a few steps out of the corner, keeping an eye on the 230-pounder. The Kvlt of Azazel member is wisely cautious of the debuting big man. Cobalt looks to waste no time taking the advantage, charging in with a big boot, which is ducked by Azazel. Jakob sprints toward Cobalt, but before he can take perform any offense, “Magnum Opus” snatches him up of the ground before slamming the magician’s spine down on his knee with a backbreaker. Without releasing his opposition, Cobalt lifts Azazel up most of the way to a vertical base before releasing him and quickly driving his arm through “Sir Realist’s” neck with a clothesline. While Azazel rolls around in agony, clutching his neck, Astin swings boots into the lower legs of Cobalt, looking to chop the big man down. Cobalt doesn’t feel the effects of the boots too much as he turns to face Astin. Leon immediately realizes the situation he is in as Cobalt towers over him. With no other choice, Astin leaps up into the air and drives a boot into the back of Cobalt’s head with an enzuigiri. Cobalt leans over and rotates to his right a little bit, where he is met by Azazel who leaps into the air and pulls Cobalt down to the mat face-first with a Leaping Reverse STO. Cobalt lies on the mat clutching his face. Azazel begins to roll over the big man, which is easier said than done with a guy his size. Astin knows that Azazel is going for a pin, and in an elimination match, he isn’t going to interrupt. Azazel gets Cobalt turned over and hooks a leg, looking to eliminate one half of Northern Lights. Leon Astin goes over to his corner to tag in his fresh partner into the match. A little after one, Cobalt gets his shoulder off the mat, keeping his spot in the match. Azazel stands back up to a vertical base, and is met by Michael Astin, who takes him by the back of the head before pulling him into the center of the ring before locking him into a front facelock. Astin lifts Azazel into the air before dropping him on his back with a suplex. Without releasing his grip, Astin twists his hips, flipping over and getting back to his feet, setting up for another suplex. Again, Astin hits Azazel with a Suplex. While Astin is busy with Azazel, Cobalt gets a tag to the fresh Liam Tremblay. Tremblay gets to the top rope and waits as Astin rotates his hips again, lifting Azazel up for one more suplex. As Astin drops his opposition on the mat with a third suplex, Tremblay leaps off the top rope and drops an elbow on the chest of Azazel! Tremblay, without Astin’s knowledge, goes for the pin. He only gets a two, before Azazel is able to get a shoulder up.

TED CEDAR: “Azazel and Dolmeth were almost sent packing there after three suplexes and an elbow drop.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “That’s the great thing about Triple Threat Matches, we get to see some things we wouldn’t normally see!”

Tremblay gets back to a vertical base and is met by Astin who has a fist with his name on it. Tremblay takes a step backwards before retaliating with a fist of his own. The two men go back and forth with punches until both of them have dished out four punches each. Astin then attempts to whip Tremblay into the rope, but the Canadian blocks the attempt before pulling Astin back in his direction and sticking his arm out, laying Astin out with a short arm clothesline. Astin hits the mat hard but refuses to stay down, as he quickly makes his way back to his feet. He charges at Tremblay, who is prepared for him. The Canadian lifts Astin into the air before dropping him back down to the mat with a back body drop. On the ring apron, Cobalt shakes the top rope a little, signaling his approval of Tremblay’s offense to this point. Again fighting through the pain, Astin makes it back to a vertical base, this time to be cut off by Liam with a boot to the midsection. Tremblay wraps Astin’s arm around his head before locking his own arms around the midsection of Astin. With ease, Tremblay lifts Michael Astin up and over, slamming him on his back with a Northern Lights Suplex. Tremblay bridges the move, looking to eliminate Astin from the match. Sanu counts two before Astin is able to get his shoulder up. Tremblay doesn’t lie up for a second, as he gets back to his feet immediately following the kickout. He turns his attention to Azazel, who is on his knees next to the ropes. Tremblay picks up Azazel and takes him into a side headlock. The Canadian then lifts Azazel up like he is about to hit a suplex, but instead twists so he is falling to his back, driving the back of Azazel’s neck down on the ring rope with a neckbreaker maneuver. Azazel falls to the outside, clutching the back of his neck.

TED CEDAR: “Tremblay with a brutal neckbreaker on the top rope.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Brutal is the word to describe it indeed! But when the Tag Titles are on the line, you stop at nothing to make them yours!”

Having seen enough of his partner getting brutalized in this match, Chris Dolmeth gets in the ring, looking to cause havoc. Dolmeth takes Tremblay by the arm and whips him into the ropes. Tremblay grabs onto the ropes, stopping his momentum. Dolmeth charges at the Canadian, lifting up a boot and connecting, sending the former NMW wrestler over the top rope and to the outside. Meanwhile, Cobalt has made his way into the ring. Dolmeth turns around to see the combatant from Maine charging at him. “Magnum Opus” clotheslines Dolmeth over the top rope. From behind, Astin charges in and leaps up on Cobalt, sending both men over the top rope and onto the floor with the other three wrestlers that have been thrown out. The only man remaining is Leon Astin, who sees all the other five wrestlers on the outside. Astin gets an idea, climbing up to the top rope. Astin turns his back to all the wrestlers that are now standing on the outside of the ring. Astin then leaps into the air and does a moonsault before landing on all five of the other wrestlers in this match. The crowd begins to chant “Holy Shit!” as all the men are laid out on the outside of the ring. Leon Astin in the first to his feet and he finds his partner. Leon checks on Michael and helps him back to his feet before getting him back into the ring and ready to go. Leon then jumps back up to the ring apron. Tremblay is the next one back to a vertical base, but unlike The Astin’s, Tremblay gets the other man that is currently legal in the contest, Jakob Azazel, and slides him back into the ring before heading in himself. Astin quickly rolls Azazel into the center of the ring and hooks a leg. At a little passed two, Azazel is able to get the shoulder up off the mat. Astin works Azazel back to his feet. He keeps his grip on Jakob's neck while going over to the corner and tagging in Leon. Michael then drags Azazel into the center of the ring and looks at Tremblay before waving him over. Tremblay walks to the center of the ring. Astin points down at Azazel’s wrist, indicating he wants Tremblay to help him Irish whip Azazel. Again, Tremblay obliges, and the two men whip Azazel across the ring. As Azazel comes back, both Tremblay and Michael lift him up, looking to drop him on the mat with a double flapjack. At the same time, Leon Astin jumps into the air and grabs Azazel’s head, bringing him down face first on both Leon’s knees with a Double Knee Facebuster. Azazel lays out on the mat, and Michael Astin gets up and charges into the corner where Dolmeth is standing, knocking the big man off the apron. Liam Tremblay hooks the leg, looking to get the elimination off of the Double Flapjack, Double Knee Facebuster. Leon Astin smartly stays out of the way, knowing that one more eliminated team means one step closer to the Tag Team gold. Sanu counts one, then two, then three and the Kvlt has been eliminated from the matchup.

TED CEDAR: “Jakob and Chris have been eliminated!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “We’re down to two teams now. Either Michael and Leon Astin will walk out as the Tag Team Champions or the rookie team of Liam Tremblay and Cobalt will.”

As Azazel rolls out of the ring, Leon is quick to get on the attack, going after Liam with stomps before he can even get back to his feet. Once he feels he’s softened him up enough, the Astin brother pulls his Canadian opponent back to his feet and Irish Whips him directly to his team’s corner, before tagging Michael into the contest. With the referee shouting for Leon to get out of the ring, he ignores Ryu for now, instead pulling Liam into the center of the ring with Michael. The two both apply a Front Facelock to Tremblay, quickly proceeding to pull him off of his feet and slam him onto his back with a Double Snap Suplex! Leon rolls back onto the apron as Michael looks to pick up the scraps with a cover to become the Tag Team Champion. One! Two! Thr—Kickout! Astin doesn’t fret from the kickout, instead choosing to stay on the offensive side of things by applying a Seated Headlock. Being in the center of the ring, with a fairly taller man holding him down and choking the life out of him, Liam isn’t in a very good predicament at all right now. He tries to break the grip his opponent has on him, but it’s to no avail, and, eventually, he begins to fade. Noticing this, Ryu grabs a hold of Liam’s hand and raises it into the air. He drops it once, the hand hitting the canvas, as Ryu yells out, ”One!” He grabs Tremblay’s hand once more and raises it, dropping it again for a, ”Two!” Sanu picks up Liam’s hand once more, this time for the final drop that would declare the Astins the new Tag Team Champions. He drops the hand, but it stops falling mid-way down! The audience cheers as Liam begins getting back into it, his legs shaking with adrenaline. He starts to get back to his feet, whilst Michael keeps the Headlock applied, turning it into a Side Headlock. Once vertical, Liam pounds away at Astin’s mid-section with his elbow until he’s finally freed from the hold! He stumbles over towards his corner to try and make a tag, but Michael quickly grabs a hold of his hand and spins him around, kicking him in the gut and applying a Front Facelock that leads to a very impactful DDT! Astin transitions on top of Liam for the cover. One! Two! Thr—Kickout again at two and a half! “The Ultimate Synner” doesn’t fret, however, instead opting to drag Liam over to his team’s corner and make the tag to Leon. The two go over what they’re going to do for a brief second or two and Leon begins ascending the turnbuckle from the apron. Meanwhile, in the ring, Michael pulls Liam back to his feet and drags him a bit away from the corner, before wrapping his arms around his body and lifting him up in an almost Spinebuster style, but not driving him down yet. Leon reaches the top rope and calls for something, as Michael stands with his back to his brother. Leon leaps into a somersault over Liam and Michael, grabbing onto Liam’s head as he does so and taking him down with a Blockbuster-style Neckbreaker, whilst Michael simultaneously Spinebusters Tremblay into the canvas! The audience cheers for the unique double team maneuver, as Michael exits the ring and Leon goes for the cover. One! Two! Thre—Kickout again, albeit closer this time!

TED CEDAR: “Very smart tag team wrestling by the Astins. Not only are they doing constant tags to keep each other fresh, but they’re landing double team maneuvers as well.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Absolutely. That diving Neckbreaker and Spinebuster combo right there can’t feel very good. I’m surprised Liam had the wherewithal to kick out of it.”

Looking to keep the advantage, Leon pulls his adversary back to his feet and then proceeds to toss him into his team’s corner, before stomping on his mid-section repeatedly. He tags in Michael, whom enters the ring and latches onto Tremblay’s hand. The former XWA General Manager pulls his opponent into an Irish Whip, seemingly to send him into his own team’s corner, but Astin quickly spins around and sends Liam back into the corner he came from, this time front-first. Michael quickly tags Leon back into the match, keeping the constant tags going. Instead of exiting the ring, however, Michael grabs a hold of Liam and lifts him onto the top turnbuckle, seated with his back to the ring. Leon enters the ring as this is happening and the two men climb to the middle rope, on either side of Liam. They each take one of Liam’s arms and wrap it around their shoulders, before climbing up to the very top rope, pulling Tremblay into a standing base as they do so. The brothers jump backwards, taking Liam with them in a huge top rope Double Back Suplex! The audience again cheers for the big move, as Michael rolls out of the ring and onto the apron while Leon makes the cover. One! Two! Thre—But once more, Liam gets his shoulder up just in time! As the frustration starts to set in, Liam pounds his palm off of the canvas twice and then gets back to his feet. He tries to keep his eyes on the ball and stomps down on Liam’s upper body a couple times. Following this, he signals for the end, holding his hands up and locking his fingers together to show that he’s about to attempt his finishing maneuver; a Full Nelson Facebuster, or “Skull Crushing Finale”, known as the Nexus Shot! He stalks Liam from behind as he gets up. Once “The Canadian Cactus” reaches his feet, Leon applies the Full Nelson, readying himself for the Nexus Shot. However, unfortunately for Leon, Tremblay manages to pull his arms free quickly and pop up behind his opponent, quickly applying a Waist Lock. He pulls Astin backwards into a German Suplex, dropping him on the back of his neck, but he’s not done there. Keeping the hands clasped, Liam pulls himself and Leon back to his feet before landing a second German Suplex! The Canadian is still not finished, however, pulling Leon back to his feet once more. This time, when he gets ready for the third German Suplex, Leon isn’t going down so easily. The Astin brother elbows his opponent repeatedly in the face, causing him to let go. As Tremblay staggers from the shots, Leon tries to walk away to make the tag to his partner, but Liam quickly regains his composure and grabs Leon by the back of his jeans, pulling him back into his grasp and applying a Waist Lock again. Tremblay lands a third, picture perfect, German Suplex, this one ending in a bridged pin, as the fans cheer! One! Two! Thre—Kickout just in time!

TED CEDAR: “Leon tried to fight it, but Tremblay managed to land the trifecta! Three German Suplexes, but Astin still kicked out.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “The most important thing here is that Liam has bought himself some time. What he needs to do now is make a tag to his fresh partner, Cobalt.”

The two competitors are somewhat slow to get back to their feet, mostly due to the fatigue of this match. Once standing, however, they immediately try to gain the advantage by exchanging shots, Leon with punches and Liam with Knife Edge Chops. The audience cheers for each shot, not seeming to favor either competitor over the other, until Tremblay gains the upper hand, landing repeated, unanswered chops to Leon’s now bright red chest, backing him up to the ropes. The Canadian wrestler goes for an Irish Whip, but Leon reverses into one of his own, sending his adversary rushing towards the opposing set of ropes. Liam ricochets off of the ropes and returns to knock Leon down with a Shoulder Block! Leon is quick to get back to his feet, only to be taken down with a Clothesline. Again, Astin gets back to his feet relatively quick, but this time he ducks under the attempted Knife Edge Chop from Liam, rushing to the ropes behind the Canadian and rebounding off of them. As he rushes back towards Tremblay, things don’t go as planned for the New York native, whom is hoisted off of the canvas and into the air, before crashing down into a Pop-Up European Uppercut, dubbed the Falcon Punch, from Liam! The audience pops for the damn near decapitating strike from Liam, but he can’t capitalize, instead dropping to the canvas due to fatigue. With both men down, the audience cheers and claps, trying to will them both to their corner so they can make tags. Slowly but surely, the two competitors reach their corners, having crawled all the way, and simultaneous tags are made. Cobalt and Michael hurry into the ring and attack one another with fast, yet strong, strikes. The two pound into one another as the audience cheers for the brawl, leading to Michael attempting an Irish Whip. Cobalt hits the ropes, but he doesn’t return because he latched onto the top rope to keep him where he is. Michael runs at Cobalt, looking to capitalize, but he’s caught as Cobalt wraps his arms around Astin’s body, before taking him off of his feet with a huge Belly-to-Belly Suplex that sends Michael over the top rope and crashing to the floor outside of the ring! Quickly, as Michael begins getting up, Leon rushes at Cobalt, looking to take advantage, but he gets Back Body Dropped out of the ring for his troubles, landing right on top of Michael! By now, Liam has entered the ring. He quickly says something to Cobalt, whom nods, and Liam looks out of the ring to see both Astins getting to their feet. He runs in the opposite direction of them, bouncing off of the ropes before now rushing directly in their direction. The Canadian superstar dives straight through the ropes with a Suicide Dive, crashing into both men! Unfortunately for Liam, his calculations were just a bit off, as his head goes smacking into the security barricade! The fans cheer wildly, regardless, as the three men are down outside of the ring and Cobalt is left alone inside it, with Ryu beginning a ten count.

TED CEDAR: “Liam going high risk and it pays off!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “I don’t know about that, Ted. Liam landed pretty hard, himself. That may have done just as much damage to him as it did to them.”

TED CEDAR: “You may be right, partner, but Liam has Cobalt to pick up the pieces. He took out both opponents, so this is a great opportunity for Northern Lights.”

The biggest guy in the match, Cobalt, exits the ring to join the wrecked bodies on the outside. He doesn’t plan on staying there for too long, however, as he grabs Michael by his head and yanks him back to his feet, proceeding to roll him into the ring and then slide in after him. He goes for a quick cover to hopefully end this match and earn himself and Liam the Tag Team Championships. ONE! TWO! TH—Kickout at about two and a half! Cobalt doesn’t waste a second to fret over the kickout, instead getting right back to his feet and yelling, ”Let’s end this!” The audience isn’t sure what Cobalt has in mind, but the big guy pulls Michael up to his feet and quickly knees him in the abdomen. He lifts the Astin family member onto his shoulder, setting up for his finishing Sitout Side Powerslam known as the Perago, a modified Dominator! Michael, realizing the trouble he’s in, kicks his legs about to put Cobalt off of his balance, allowing him to drop down behind the tall man. He quickly spins “Magnum Opus” around and lands a swift kick to the gut, doubling him over. Michael shows excellent strength by pulling the somewhat bigger man onto his shoulders and then holding him by the wrists ala Crucifix! That isn’t all, unfortunately for Cobalt, as Michael looks out of the ring and sees Liam finally nearing his feet. He turns direction and looks to be readying himself to send Cobalt all the way out of the ring and on top of Tremblay with his Crucifix Powerbomb dubbed the Godless Wrath! Michael begins rushing towards the ropes, but now it’s Cobalt who drops down behind his opponent. Quickly turning around, Astin is met with a very stiff European Uppercut from Cobalt, who proceeds to lift him onto his shoulder again, setting up for the Perago once more! With Michael struggling to break free this time, Cobalt stands near the ropes, where Liam has climbed onto the apron, allowing himself to be tagged on the shoulder. He then steps away from the ropes, as Liam begins ascending the turnbuckle. Cobalt flips a struggling Michael onto the canvas with the Perago, sending him crashing and burning! He then quickly turns the Astin brother onto his back, as Liam reaches the top rope, with his back to the ring. Liam leaps into a back flip, landing a picture-perfect Moonsault right on top of Michael! He goes for the cover. One! Two! Three! The fans burst in cheers as “Slither” by Velvet Revolver hits!

DING! DING! DING!

TED CEDAR: “Northern Lights win! What a match!”

DAVID MICHAELS: “Hell of a match, hell of an effort by all three teams involved. God, I missed tag team wrestling.”

Cobalt helps Liam to his feet as Ryu heads out of the ring to fetch the XWA Tag Team Championships. The Northern Lights members celebrate together in the ring until Sanu hands them their belts.

TED CEDAR: “You have to wonder what challenges await these two superstars.”

DAVID MICHAELS: “I don’t know, but whatever challenges they are, they better bring their A game.”

The camera gets a good look on the two new champions before the show fades to a merchandise ad.

[The actual match, from bell to bell, is 3,884 words, including commentary. Good luck, guys. I don’t know about Greg, but I enjoyed writing my portion.]

Yeah.. I'm out. Nothing against anyone, but with how limited The Blasphemy's profile is and me having no fucking idea how I should really be writing either Astin I'm calling this one a day and giving up before I get a brain haemorrhage.
