During a recent interview with Last Word on Sports, TNA star Bobby Lashley had the following to say about CM Punk in UFC:

“I think Punk’s going to go to the UFC and kick somebody’s ass, and everybody’s going to be mad and give him the respect that he deserves… There’s so many guys that come into Mixed Martial Arts without any kind of background. I think right now, it is kind of hard just because he’s coming in with zero fights in the UFC, so they’re going have to bring in somebody who is 0-0 or he’s going to have to fight somebody that’s been in there and it’s going to be a little difficult.”

That's one of the reasons it's so fun Punk is in UFC.

He's gonna have to fight someone who has fought a few times. Otherwise it'll be said they gave him someone easy. Cant expect to cater to the guy by giving him a 0-0 fighter. He should know the chance of getting his ass kicked are extremely high.

It could happen.

I remember no one thought Frank Mir could have beaten Brock Lesner and he ended up pulling an upset.

Mir caught Lesnar doing a Rookie mistake and got him for it. Brock was in full control of that fight. Mir just did one thing and it was able to get him the win.

If Punk is given a creampuff people won't take him serious. they give him a guy who has been around the block, he is getting his ass kicked. Punk has a target on him.
