PA3 vs. Alex Falcon
Singles Match

Alex Falcon: Your match has a lot of action! Unfortunately, at times, I had trouble following along at some points because I was having trouble visualizing what was going on because of a lack of description in parts. I really enjoyed the spot on the apron and then the springboard into the ring. I felt that was a nice high spot for the match! I wasn’t aware of what the iWin was without looking at your profile, so a little bit of description would’ve been nice there! I felt at times the match was rushed a little bit, which would’ve been helped by some more selling. The last thing I want to say is I felt like Falcon dominated too much of this match, especially where he is the face going against the bigger heel wrestler in Prince Alex III. I think there is room to grow from here, but I enjoy your action and think that you have a great mind for coming up with some nice spots!
Prince Alex III: Nitpicky thing here(and this doesn’t affect my final decision, just something I personally want to point out) I can’t stand when people use wrestling terminology in their matches, like when you said Alex “doesn’t sell.” I see writing matches like a radio announcer calling a match, he wouldn’t break kayfabe. Others may disagree with me on this, and for that very point, as I said, I’m not using it against you in the grading. You had action, but the description really fell short of painting any sort of picture for what was happening. It was very generic, and left a lot to be desired. There was some selling present, but it was very thin and wasn’t really enough to help dictate the flow of the match. As you had the duty of writing the later portion of the match, selling would have helped a lot to make it feel like it was indeed later in the match, it would’ve helped the flow. One thing I really enjoyed from your match was how you had Prince Alex dominate, which as I said in Falcon’s paragraph above, I feel is truer to what the story would be in this match. My suggestion is to really work on describing what happens in the ring, as well as the selling. By selling I mean more than just what the wrestlers are doing after the moves, but how their bodies ache from the moves. For me, the greatest strength you have is the ability to incorporate storylines into the match, something I’ve never done very well with.
Decision: At the end of this, I would say Falcon’s portion had better description and selling. Both halves felt rushed to me in their execution and could’ve used some pacing to heighten the “suspense” if you will. I felt Prince Alex III worked the story of this match better, having the bigger man show dominance. I’m going to have to give this match to Alex Falcon as his portion of the match gave better description and selling and that put me into the environment more than PA3’s did.
