Current WWE Tag Team champion Big E appeared on AfterBuzz TV last week to promote the WWE Payback PPV, which took place last night.
During the interview, Big E revealed the reason why WWE dropped “Langston” as his last name.
According to Big, Vince McMahon felt that "Big E" sounded more powerful without the last name. Big E felt that he shouldn’t argue with WWE about it, so he agreed to make the name change.

Did they change Tyson Kidd to simply Kidd?

^Kidd sounds Weak. Have them drop "Kidd", only naming him "Tyson" (or Tyson Hart / Neidhart), portraying a gimmick where he bites his opponents' ears every time he wins.

This is one of the few cases where I liked the name drop. Big E does sound better and a little more intimidating tbh.

Big E Langston was a crappy name, in hindsight. Big E is much better.
