Universal has officially set a release date for Furious 8. Vin Diesel announced at CinemaCon that the Fast and Furious sequel will hit theaters on April 14th, 2017.

The film will follow on the events of Furious 7, which has thus far grossed $1.158 billion worldwide. It currently ranks #7 on the all-time worldwide gross list with Iron Man 3 only $60 million ahead and likely to be passed by Sunday.

No plot details were announced, though previous reports suggested that they may involve Kurt Russell’s “Mr. Nobody,” who makes his first franchise appearance as a CIA spook.
