YouTube's first video was uploaded ten years ago today starting a technological and cultural revolution.
The website was registered in February 2005, but it was not until 23 April that the first video 'Me at the Zoo' appeared.
The 19-second clip has now been viewed more than 19 million times.
In the clip, the co-founder of YouTube Jawed Karim is at San Diego Zoo talking about the lives of elephants.
YouTube debuted publicly days after that first upload and just 19 months later Google bought the video-sharing website for $1.65bn.
Today, YouTube has more than a billion users, and about 300 hours of video gets uploaded every minute.
