NXT Star CJ Parker was released from his WWE NXT deal this past Saturday according to PWInsider. Parker was said to have requested his release. Parker and company parted on good terms.

WWE allowed Parker to work the WrestleMania AXXESS over the weekend.

Joe Robinson, aka NXT’s CJ Parker, made the decision to ask for his WWE release because he reportedly wanted to get out of developmental. It’s being said he wanted to make a name for himself outside of WWE, and possibly make a move to wrestle internationally to improve himself.

Another reason for his departure is Robinson didn’t want to be seen as a talent “stuck” in developmental who wouldn’t progress to the next level.
