According to PWInsider.com, Daniel Bryan participating in the IC Title Ladder Match at WrestleMania instead of the main event is not so much because WWE does not view Bryan as a top player in the company, but rather top WWE officials are still concerned with Bryan’s health.
When Bryan suffered an injury last year, he opted to undergo a unique form of rehab, and there is strong fear in WWE that his injury could become recurring as a result of the rehab Bryan underwent. Some WWE officials are concerned that Bryan’s rehab method might just be a temporary solution to his neck problem, and not one which is permanent.
One WWE source related Daniel Bryan’s situation to that of Kurt Angle when he was in WWE, as Angle underwent several non-invasive surgeries on his neck years ago, but over time Angle ended up having a lot of other issues stemming from the neck injury.
It’s being said Bryan would very likely be in a more prominent role at WrestleMania 31 if it weren’t for concern over his health.
