Even though NXT superstar Finn Balor didn’t win the tournament at yesterday’s WWE Fan Axxess that would have given him a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this Sunday, it’s still expected that he’ll make his main roster debut on Monday’s RAW, as many people within WWE believe that he has no business being in their developmental territory any longer.

What will Balor’s role be when he makes his debut on the main roster? Well, in a tweet he sent out earlier today, Balor teased a partnership with the best manager and talker in WWE today, Paul Heyman.



The one thing Balor is lacking is strong promo skills, and pairing him with Paul Heyman would be a temporary fix to that, as it would allow Balor to shine in the ring while learning how to be effective on the microphone from Heyman. Also, a pairing with Heyman could give Brock Lesnar a future opponent, whether Lesnar and Heyman stay together past this Sunday or not.

Finn Balor was fast-tracked to become the number one contender for the NXT Championship, and he lost his title match with Kevin Owens this past week. WWE usually airs the NXT Title matches on their quarterly takeover specials, but the word is that WWE wanted to bring Balor up to the main roster right after WrestleMania, which is why they didn’t wait around to put him in the ring with the NXT Champ.

There are people who are now expecting that fellow NXT standout Hideo Itami is going be a full-time member of the WWE main roster due to him winning the tournament at WWE Fan Axxess, earning him a spot in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. As of right now, there are no plans to make Itami a full-time member of the main roster, but plans could change if the fans really get behind him at WrestleMania.

It’s possible that WWE could officially bring up Itami and Balor on the post-WrestleMania RAW, but it’s more likely that just one of them will get the call, and Balor is much readier than Itami is.

I'd like to be the first to congratulate Finn on his comedy midcard tag team at Wrestlemania 32 then.

But without Paul Heyman we'd have no Axelmania.

Blame the booking. They just pair people with Paul Heyman in hopes that it will magically boost those guys to the next level.

I'm actually kind of excited about the idea of Heyman cutting promos on "the demon" and Finn Balor's "dark side". Sounds like good TV.

If they do like they did for Curtis Axel, I won't watch WWE anymore.
Finn is a great wrestler, as is Curtis Axel. But the WWE pushed Curtis, BURIED him then.
WWE Pushed Cesaro as a Paul Heyman guy, then buried him, then pushed him.
Now come on.

It didn't work for Axel because: They knew not what they were gonna do. In fact, the whoe thing with Axel seemed a lot like "improv" (like they wrote the show as it was happening).

It didn't work for Cesaro because Vince is an idiot, a walking dead if you may, that, for some reason said "I see nothing on Cesaro", when he's one of the ... idk... either top 10 or even top 5 best Athletes they have.

It will have to work with Balor because the guy is known Worldwide, he's technically gifted, albeit his promo skills not being outstanding for what WWE pretends (at least, yet!). Again, in the end of the day, if this fails, it will be solely WWE's fault, because this combo has everything to succeed, and be even better than Heyman/Lesnar duo. Believe that.

That's because Punk was a top guy and they couldn't have Heyman rabbit on about Brock Lesnar every time they were in promos. That shit got annoying with Cesaro. Like, who's this entrance/promo/time-on-commentery actually for? <_<

Well, Heyman/Lesnar is one of the oldest Manager/Wrestler sects we have on WWE, it always worked because they managed to make Lesnar the kind of guy that does the talking with his wrestling skills, not with his mouth.

CM Punk/Lesnar was brilliant because, well, two mic genious and an excellent athlete.

I'm fairly sure that, if done right, Finn Balor and Heyman will be another excellent combination.
