The 87th Annual Academy Awards took place last night, but if you happened to miss them you can take a look below at the list of winners.

Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel ended the night with four awards, including best original score, costume design, makeup and hairstyling and production design. However, it's Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Birdman which had perhaps the most impressive night with wins in the Best Picture category, as well as Best Director, cinematography and original screenplay.

González Iñárritu's Birdman and Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel tied for the lead with nominations in nine categories each, followed by Morten Tyldum's The Imitation Game with eight. All three of those men were recognized in the Best Director category, while Selma director Ava DuVernay - who would have been the first black woman to be nominated for directing - was left out. The historical drama about the civil rights movement received nominations only in the Best Original Song and Best Picture fields; David Oyelowo's acclaimed performance as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. received no recognition for Best Actor.

Winners are highlighted in bold.
