| The opening credits are complete, the introductions to the show have been made, and now the crowd await the entrance music of the General Manager for the traditional show opening segment. What they get, however, is Dog Fashion Disco’s “War Party,” which heralds the arrival of the new XWA World Champion, Minkaro. The Shrewsbury native appears of stage shortly afterwards, the title draped across his shoulder, and a microphone clutched in his hand. He smirks, looking around at the crowd before him, raising the title into the air. A mix of applause and booing can be heard as he starts to speak, slowly walking down the ramp as he does so.Minkaro: "This, right here, belongs to me now. It is evidence of exactly what I have known for my entire career, my entire life, that I am better than every single one of you, and every single person in the back. It means that I am the best wrestler in XWA, it means that I am the biggest star in XWA, and it means that you should shut up and start showing me some damn respect. In fact, let’s jog your memories and show you exactly how I won this title."Minkaro, having just reached the steps and climbed up into the ring, gestures towards the titantron. - Quote :
- Bloody Mary is in the ring, watching the entrance ramp and waiting for Minkaro to come out. In a shock twist it turns out the ring announcer IS Minkaro, who is surprisingly very good at impersonating whoever it is the ring announcer is. I thought there was a staff thread somewhere? Minkaro clubs Bloody Mary over the back of the head with the microphone, and pins Mary. The referee starts the match, counts, and ends the match.
The applause has now all but vanished, as the crowd boos the excuse for a match, that has actually just been shown in its seconds-long entirety.Minkaro: "Oh boo hoo hoo, I paid money to see Minkaro wrestle and all I got was him clubbing some woman over the back of the head with a microphone like he was Chris Brown disciplining some backing singers. I’M A WRESTLER. There is nothing in my contract that says that I have to hit any of my moves, lock in any of my submissions, or bounce around the ring like some damn performing monkey. I won that match, and I won it in seconds, and I did that because I am smart. The sooner you start to realise that I do this for me, not you, the better.
So with that in mind, this belt means that I am now a target. A target for those that think that they can better me in the ring, which for most people is a delusional pursuit. So one of those people might want to make themselves known to me right now, before I go and pick out my own opponent, and if I’m allowed to do that it’s going to be Joey Miles. "Minkaro glares towards the announce table, before turning his attentions to the ramp. The fans instantly go to boos at the fact that Razor Xtreme has decided to make his presence felt. Razor quickly marches down the ramp, ignoring the countless boos that surround him. He appears on stage wearing his regular cut-up leather robe that looks like a cape. He continues to march down the ramp as “Zero Visibility” by Rise Against booms throughout the arena. Razor charges to the ring and slides in, ready to make his point. Minkaro remains inside the ring, looking back with a disgusted look on his face at the idea of this asshole being the one to come out and challenge him. Razor stands inside the ring. His music dies off as the fans begin to boo once again.Razor Xtreme: “Well, well, well. Look who it is. Minkaro, what a… pleasure it is to see you again? Is it a pleasure? I always get a funny feeling when I see you out here rambling, I’m not sure whether or not it’s pleasure, though.”Minkaro keeps his glaring face on Razor as Razor continues speaking.Razor Xtreme: “C’mon Minky. You know perfectly damn well that if anyone’s a shoe-in to take that title away from you, it’s me. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve taken a title from you at the peak of your career, now would it?”Razor chuckles in reference to his win over Minkaro for the Intercontinental Championship two years ago. Razor Xtreme: “You remember? You were at the top of the world with a great reign as the IC champ, and then I came along and decided to ruin it. If that doesn’t piss you off, I don’t know what will. But you know how you could totally make that up? Allow me to be the next competitor for that pretty title of yours. Let me get another shot to ascend back into the main event and be at the top of this company the way I was supposed to be. And then… you can kick my ass and prove that you’re the better competitor by not allowing me to take that title away from you.”Razor smiles, being the conniving son of a bitch he always has been, as he tries to manipulate Minkaro.Razor Xtreme: “Or the more likely scenario can happen, and I can take another title away from you, leaving you to become nothing once again. Just like you have been since I defeated you for your last title. You wanna repeat history? You wanna let me be the one to ruin your career once again? C’mon Mink, let’s do this! There is no one on the roster that is more or better qualified, and you damn well know it! I’m the greatest of all time and if anyone deserves a shot, it’s me, dammit!”Minkaro just keeps the focused glare on his face.Razor Xtreme: “C’MON MINK! GIVE ME A RESPONSE!"Minkaro brings the microphone up to his mouth to speak, when suddenly ..."Nana nana nana nana nana nana na. Nana nana nana nana nana nana na. Nana nana nana nana nana nana na. You know!"The audience erupts in cheers as "Rompe" by Daddy Yankee hits the PA System. Former XWA World Heavyweight Champion Dominik Diveraz makes his way onto the stage, a burrito in one hand and a microphone in the other. Razor and Minkaro look on, surprised, though they both try to hide it pretty well. Dominik takes a bite out of his burrito and begins making his way down the ramp.Dominik Diveraz: "Que pasa? I was just strolling around, in Seattle, Washington ..."Cheap pop.Dominik Diveraz: "... And I happened to find out XWA was live here. So, I entered the Key Arena and, of course, they let me in because, well, I'm Dominik Diveraz, vato. ... Okay, that's a lie. Smoke Xtreme contacted me and gave me a contract, but I digress."Again, the audience cheers, as Dominik makes it to the ring. He walks up the steel steps and enters through the ropes, keeping a good distance from Razor and Minkaro.Dominik Diveraz: "So I get here and I see my old friend Minkaro, Los Excelencia, and he's out here talking ... and talking ... and talking. He shows some footage of that God awful excuse for a match at E-Volition - who the fuck came up with that name, anyway? - and then hints that someone who wants to face him for his newly won World Heavyweight Championship should come out. So, naturally, I'm ready to come out and pick up my second XWA World Heavyweight Championship reign, when this puto comes out."Dominik points at Razor.Dominik Diveraz: "Hola, Razor. Remember when me and Takumi took the Tag Team Championships off of you and your boy Rellim? Or when I beat you on Vendetta fifty-eight? No? It'll come back to you, esa. So, Minkaro's out here looking for an opponent. Razor's out here looking to be that opponent. Where does that leave me? Oh, I know! How about this. What if - now hear me out, here - what if you, Minky, defend that championship against Razor Xtreme ..."The audience boos.Dominik Diveraz: "... and me!"The boos instantly turn back to cheers at the proposed triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship.Dominik Diveraz: "So, what d'ya say, amigo? You, Razor and I, triple threat match for the XWA World Heavyweight Championship at Redemption. Surely you can handle some undersized Latino and a pendejo named Razor."All eyes are now on Minkaro, whom has a pretty damn important decision to make. After taking a moment to ponder it, he shrugs.Minkaro: "Fuck it, I'll beat both of you."The audience cheers, not so much for Minkaro's arrogance, but rather for the fact that the match is now official. Razor grins, knowing he just got a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, despite it having an unwanted third competitor.Dominik Diveraz: "Excelente. Now, if you don't mind, I've got some place to be. I'll see you all at—"Dominik is suddenly interrupted by the sounds of Disturbed's "Inside The Fire". Minkaro can audibly be heard yelling "for fucks sake" as Maddox Paine makes his way onto the stage, the fans erupting in cheers yet again. As Eric Goodman escorts Maddox to the ring, neither of them holds a microphone, unlike Razor and Dominik when they entered the arena. Upon reaching the ring, both Eric and Maddox enter as they look around and Paine's theme song dies down. Minkaro, Razor and Dominik look at the behemoth of a man, staying on guard at all times. Paine looks at all three men, with the fans continuing to cheer for him. Without warning, Maddox darts directly at Dominik, practically breaking him in half with a ring shaking Spear! He lets out a mighty roar, as Minkaro and Razor continue to keep their guard up and the audience's reception gets vastly more mixed. Maddox turns his attention to Razor. The two men stare each other down, until ... Paine shakes Xtreme's hand! Now the fans are completely booing, as Maddox and Razor look at Minkaro, whom clutches his championship with both hands, ready to attempt to fight off both men. Trying to get the first strike in, he wildly swings the title at Razor, but he ducks it. Maddox and Xtreme attack the champion, both men landing strike after strike to Minkaro, whom tries to block but it's to no avail. Maddox, showcasing his strength, launches Minkaro across the ring. He begins walking towards the downed champion, but Minkaro quickly grabs his title and rolls out of the ring, hitting the floor outside. The fans continue to boo as Minkaro retreats, leaving Maddox, Razor, Eric and Dominik in the ring, together. With Minkaro out, they turn their focus to Diveraz, whom is using the ropes to get back to his feet. Razor and Maddox go on the attack, dragging Diveraz to the center of the ring. Paine places Dominik's head in between his legs before pulling him onto his shoulders and violently slamming him back-first into the canvas, while sitting, with the Titan Bomb! The two aren't done just yet, however, as Razor pulls Dominik onto his shoulders, ala Fireman's Carry. He looks directly out of the ring at Minkaro, with Diveraz draped over his shoulders, grinning at the World Heavyweight Champion before pushing Dominik forward and drilling him with a Go To Sleep-like knee to the face, dubbed the Razor's Edge! As the fans are now booing at maximum volume, Eric stands in between Razor and Maddox, raising one of each of their hands. The three men stand tall in the ring, with Minkaro looking from the ramp, as the show cuts to a commercial break. |
