Universal Pictures has debuted a new trailer for Fast & Furious 7.

Jason Statham takes on the role of villain Ian Shaw in the franchise's latest instalment, who sets out to avenge his brother Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).



Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson are back for the action-packed blockbuster, which sees them jumping off a jet from behind the wheel in one scene.

Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris, Jordana Brewster and Elsa Pataky also reprise their roles, with Kurt Russell making his franchise debut.

The movie - known simply as Furious 7 in the US - marks the final appearance of Paul Walker, who was killed in a car crash before he finished production.

His brothers Caleb and Cody Walker joined the cast in the wake of Paul's death to allow for an exit for his character Brian O'Conner.

Fast & Furious 7 opens on April 3 in the UK and the US.
