Cara, a 14-week old Shih Tzu playing in her rookie year in the prestigious Puppy Bowl, has been officially named the Puppy Bowl XI MVP. Proudly representing her home state of Florida, this shaggy little scamper came in ready to play as part of the 2015 Starting Line-Up at this year's Puppy Bowl. Her double-dog TD runs weren’t enough to keep her Team Fluff from getting licked by rival Team Ruff, but her furry fury up and down the field did kick off the highest-scoring Puppy Bowl in history.

In the 11th year of Puppy Bowl play, a new level of competition was added to the yearly puppy bout. The pups were divided into teams for the first time, with Team Ruff in green and Team Fluff in yellow. Normally, this event is every mutt for himself in the battle to be alpha dog, but now that these terriers are on teams, pack mentality rewards those who can play nice with others.

First quarter action saw Cara breaking away from a three-dog scrum to cross the goalline for the first score of the game, making the Dward Goat Cheerleader Squad go baaty with glee. Cara also showed great D with an endzone stop on Steve the Chihuahua at the 10 yard line early in the first. Team Ruff answered quickly as Florida’s own Bubba walked one in for 7 on his side. These two mongrel rivals then went head to head, and Cara came out top to beat Bubba to the goal. Bubba was still had bite to his bark, as he was able to high-step all four paws past Kiara and Bandito to tie it up.

Early in the second half came the play that would turn this tug-o-war into an all out frisbee fling. Freckles and Chiclet each put one in for Fluff, and Titan ran one in for the Ruffs, keeping the score close, but the Ruffs still trailed. Then, Puppy Bowl history was made once again as Labrador Retriever mix Bryan Adams pawed a ball right through the uprights for a Field Goal -- only the second Field Goal in Puppy Bowl history. The Ruffs ran away from there, tearing through the doggie defense with three more scores from Falcor, Marley and Henry for a 17 point lead, making it 48-28 at the half.

Curious antics marred the Bissell Kitty Half-Time Show, as frolicsome felines took over Geico Stadium’s control booth to show a stream of cat videos. Everybody loves cat videos. Luckily, famed starlet Katty Perry was on hand to purr her way through her greatest hit.

From there, it was rough on the Fluffs as their rivals ran up the points. Miss Martian was able to end the score drought and put her pawprint on the scoreboard, but while she tasted victory, the only thing her teammates smelled was a whiff of Ruff butt as dog after dog ran right past them. Henry scored a touchdown in the 3rd. Then Falcor scored his second. Henry scored again. Then Falcor scored again. Watching these two race up and down the field would leave you as dizzier than chasing your own tail. Before the final whistle blew, Henry and Falcor had each scored four touchdowns in Puppy Bowl XI, tying a record set by Auberdine in Puppy Bowl VIII.

Final Score: 73 to 45. A bone-ified blow-out.
