The familiar room is dark, light only coming from the fireplace. As the audience looks on, they can immediately recognize where we're at, the same place Bloody Mary became a member of the Church of Illusionism. Just like last time, there's a chair in the center of the room, facing away from the camera. A man with short hair is faintly seen sitting in the chair, as Mirage steps next to him.
Mirage: "My religion is a serious one. We don't worship a benevolent or malevolent being. We only worship the truth. Mary has put her faith entirely into the Illusionists' cause. I need to know that you're willing to do the same. Are you?"
Man: "Yes, my lord."
Mirage lets out a slight chuckle.
Mirage: "I knew I could count on you. I've always been able to, even when they doubted you. Now, you know what must be done to be an official member of the Church of Illusionism, yes?"
Man: "I do, my lord."
Mirage: "And so it shall be. Lean forward."
The man does as Mirage instructs, as Mirage picks up a branding iron. Those who witnessed what happened a few weeks ago to whom is now known as Bloody Mary are well aware of what happens next. "The Illusionist" places the tip of the branding iron in the fireplace, allowing it to heat up. Once it's heated, he pulls the now-red iron back and gets ready to shove it into the back of the man's neck.
Mirage: "Are you ready?"
Man: "I am, my lord."
Mirage: "This will only hurt a little."
Mirage presses the iron into the back of the man's neck, as the man lets out a loud, pain-filled scream.
Mirage: "Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shhhhhhh ..."
The man's scream stops suddenly, as if he's trying to hold it in. After a few more seconds, Mirage pulls the iron away.
Mirage: "It is done. From this day on, you are an official member of the Church of Illusionism. Your name ... it will forever be Nightmare, for your nightmares are now my nightmares and my nightmares are now your nightmares. Welcome."
Nightmare: "Th--agh--thanks, my lord."
Mirage: "Don't worry, the pain will wear off, but the scar will remain. You belong to the church now, Nightmare. Never forget that. Now, let's go. We have work to do."
Nightmare nods, but just as he goes to get up, Mirage stops him.
Mirage: "Oh, I almost forgot. Here."
Mirage passes something to Nightmare, whom stares at it.
Nightmare: "A mask, my lord?"
Mirage: "Yes. The world is not yet ready to face its nightmare. When the time comes, you'll know."
Nightmare: "Yes, my lord."
Nightmare pulls the mask over his face and then gets out of the chair. The scene, again abruptly, ends.
