According to PWInsider.com, TNA officials remain very serious about Impact Wrestling being an alternative to WWE, and not the same type of show.

Additionally, despite booking of the NYC tapings, TNA also wants Impact Wrestling to evolve from what it used to be on SpikeTV.

With regards to Taz and Josh Mathews, one of TNA’s goals is to “integrate” more of their personalities during Impact broadcasts. Not necessarily involving the in Impact storylines, but allow more who they are while they are doing commentary. This might include seeing more of them on camera at the announce table.

I hope it's true. Having the commentary just dubbed over without seeing the commentary team was crap.

I hope they do try to be different, but not just for the sake of being so.
