Any poster-boy-type of wrestler will say that he carried the company on his back because management fucked up. Also, everything he said in the promo concerning "airing of dirty laundry" was something you would agree on no matter how much of a train wreck the Claire Lynch storyline was. It can most definitely be looked at as a shoot...he was just shooting blanks.

Why is this being classified as a pipebomb? It he wanted to do a pipebomb, he would have ripped everyone apart, which he didn't.

He did a promo in character that dropped several personal hints to certain people in the back (Dixie and Tenay) about his contract and how he's perceived in the company. If anything, I saw it as a "stop fucking around with my contract and damn well sign me, because I can carry this company again" plea/statement. Comparing it to what Punk did is silly. It was never designed to be that.

It really is just a worked shoot, like Tjioxz said. When Punk did his "pipebomb", what made it unique was at the time so many people thought it was real. Nobody's going to mistake this promo (or AJ Lee's, for that matter) as being anything other than a wrestling promo with some truth slipped into it.

I agree it's not a pipebomb. Nothing more than a worked shoot, just like AJ Lee's promo was a work.

Stop overusing the word pipe bomb IWC.

I liked it. But by no means did I think it was a "pipe bomb" though.
