Highlights: Aries/LowKi

lowlights: Ethan Carter still having a job, and the over booking of the main event. Good to know they still have the swerve thing downpat /sarcasm

I enjoyed the show a lot. It's been a while since I watched Impact due to being busy and it felt fresh, well structured more polished imo. The graphics are the best they've been in many years, Matthews had a solid night with his and Taz's commentary keeping focused throughout the night plus the in ring action was good to watch. Kong's returned caught me way off guard.

Not sold on the Joe and Low Ki thing yet, but I'll give it chance...and wrestling companies need to stop doing battle royals for the female wrestlers. That horse has been ridden into the ground so much...and the NYC crowd fuck promos up by chanting swear words, which wasn't helpful.

Overall, I enjoyed the show. Totally watch next week, though that isn't a shock. xD

I've not seen much of EC3 wrestling, or him in general, but I quite liked his promo work yesterday.

What were the highlights?

Opening was hype, and that continued throughout until the Angle/MVP match.
EC3 is good at the talky thing. Also his segment with Borash was dumb, but in a fun way, so I liked it.
I liked the backstage bits with MVP, King and Lashley.
Aries/Low Ki was quite good.
I liked Kong's return. Her chokeslam on the ref looked brutal.
Lashley surprisingly doesn't suck.

What were the low lights?

Angle/MVP match was...naff.
Tag team match had a dumb finish.
Crowd being morons and swearing constantly, meaning promos were constantly cutting out.
Angelina Love is in The Beautiful People. This is like Rikishi being in The Thin Club. Also, DJZ is terrible.
That backstage camera thing during the main event was dumb and distracting.
The booking of the main event.

Will you watch next week's show?

Maybe.

Pros:
- X-Division title match was awesome to watch (imo, the highest point of the show);
- Lashley x Roode III was quite good to watch. (I was afraid it would be one of those matches that would end up being two men dragging their bodies around after 20 minutes of wrestling), although the ending for it was... eh. Didn't quite understand why they're doing something "Aces'n'Eights-ish" again.
- EC3 is better than I remember (the last time I saw the show)
- Awesome Kong's return.

Cons:
- The crowd were morons.
- Tag Team match was (wrestling-wise) quite good imo, but that ending sucked.
- The main event was weirdly booked.
- Jeremy Borash's segment.


Will want to watch next week.
