Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for its forthcoming blockbuster Ant-Man.

The film stars Paul Rudd as the titular superhero and his alter ego Scott Lang, a con-man who inherits a super-suit that allows him to shrink in size but increase in strength.



Michael Douglas features in the supporting cast for the film as Dr Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man who mentors Lang and helps him pull off a daring heist.

Evangeline Lilly will take on the role of Hope Van Dyne, while Corey Stoll will play Darren Cross aka the villainous Yellowjacket. Marvel regulars Hayley Atwell and John Slattery will reprise their roles as Peggy Carter and Howard Stark respectively.

Peyton Reed is directing Ant-Man, replacing original director Edgar Wright after he left the project last year.

Ant-Man will open in UK cinemas on July 17.

The trailer wasn't anything mind-blowing, but it's still kinda early to speculate anything. I'm definitely going to watch this though since Marvel's on a hot streak.

At least it's not taking itself 100% seriously. Selling anything titled "Ant-Man" is going to be hard imo.
