| "After the recent situation with Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk, WWE has changed all performer contracts.
The contract now say that if a talent is fired for disciplinary reasons, they forfeit all merchandise rights and can’t work in pro wrestling or MMA for one year."

This is fucking stupid beyond belief. Who are the WWE to tell you you cant make a living in wrestling or MMA for a year? Once you're no longer under contract, you should be free to do whatever the fuck you want. I hope the company gets sued by a lot of people going forward.

I've never really understood how WWE can keep their talent from working with other companies after they leave. The rules for contract-based employment are really strange, and stuff like this one-year nonsense sounds like it should be illegal to practice.

The 90 day no compete clause for guys that were released i can understand, they dont want talent showing up in TNA the day after like it used to be done back in the day with WCW and WWF talent. Whomever came up with the whole "you cant work for a year" thing should no longer be in wrestling.

Imagine if that rule applied to people in an ordinary job. HR would get some stick from the employees. Just because it's WWE, how is this even legal?

No one wants to fight it because everyone wants to work there. ____________________
