The lights dim in the arena before being taken over by a green tint. As the guitar intro begins, the crowd roars with excitement. The anticipation is killing everybody in attendance as they want to see “The Maine Attraction” in the flesh before they believe he is back in the company that has made him the household name he is.

TED CEDAR: “Here is the man that made his return last week, Greg Samuel!”

After the guitar intro, Samuel comes blasting out on stage with a head full of steam and a microphone in hand. The crowd is red hot for Samuel, who is under a fresh new contract with the company. Samuel is wearing his green vest and black baggy shorts as he makes his way down to the ring. Once he reaches the bottom of the ramp, he takes a few running steps before sliding in the ring. Samuel takes a few steps around the ring, soaking in the applause from the XWA Universe. Then, the music dies down, leaving Samuel in the ring, prepared to talk.

JOEY MILES: “Great, let’s hear this guy’s mouth.”

GREG SAMUEL: “I’m gonna keep this short because I’ve got a punk to kick around this arena in a No DQ match! No Vendetta 100 cheap pop, we’ve got business! Last week, I made a return to this great company. This is a company that has built me. Before I came here in 2010, I was merely a kid that thought the business would give me what I wanted as long as I threw fists and played nice with the men in charge. My time in this company has told a different story. In my time here I put every ounce of energy I had in this ring, and in return, I’ve been shown façade after façade that I’m building my way towards the World Title and that someday I’ll be there! But in reality, this company has never given me a real chance at the World Title, throwing muscle bound creatures like Spyke, or talent that had the main event experience to run circles around mine, David Michaels, Ace Andrews; and at the end of the day, I find myself with the taste of the world championship in my mouth, but nothing to show for it.”

Samuel shows a little emotion that is rare from the tough guys of professional wrestling as he takes a second and lets out a deep breath, pulling the mic away from his face.

GREG SAMUEL: “Five times… FIVE TIMES! I’ve made taken shots at the World Championship only to be denied, only to be thrown back down the ladder, sometimes literally. And that’s fine, I’m blame myself for more of those than not. But that isn’t the point. Quite frankly, five failed attempts, and many people might start questioning their ability in this business. And I’d be lying to you if I said I haven’t. But at the end of the day, when management doesn’t want you in that top spot, it doesn’t matter how many shots you have, or how many asses you kiss, you aren’t getting to the top. So, long story short, executive board of the Xtreme Wrestling Association, I’ve sucked up to you long enough. I’ve given you guys all the attention you deserve. That time is over. Here is how it is going to go, if it’s what I need to do, I will take on every single wrestler in the back one by one until there is no one left or you guys are satisfied, whichever comes first, and then I want my shot at the World Heavyweight Championship, and I will etch my name in the books, and finally earn myself the title of World Heavyweight Champion. Now, let the game begin, Jerusalem, come on out here, and let’s break some rules!”

JOEY MILES: “I’m kind of upset we didn’t get to see him cry…”

TED CEDAR: “Samuel has unrelenting passion for the company and wants nothing more than to be the World Heavyweight Champion. We have a vacant belt right now and I say, the kid deserves a shot! He’s a tried and true veteran of the company and he has proven in the past that he can hang in the main event.”

Samuel drops the mic before taking off his vest and shorts and throwing them outside the ring as he awaits the arrival of Jared Jerusalem so they can kick of the No DQ match on Vendetta 100.
