First off: HOW THE HELL DID THIS GET A 98% ON ROTTEN TOMATOES (OUT OF 128 SCORES) AND A 76% ON THE AUDIENCE SCORE (OUT OF 13,000+)? Did we watch the same movie?
The story lacked. The kid was beyond annoying. The acting was hysterical to say the least. (Seriously, when the mother and child were screaming, I began to laugh at how awful it looked.)
There was no tension. There were no scares. It’s also one of those movies that decides “We’re going to have the audio really, really low when the actors are talking but once the ‘scares’, ‘scary moments’, and ‘tensions’ rise, we’re going to have it so loud that our goal is to blow your eardrums out.”
I don’t even understand how this got such a high rating. Some people even said “Literal scares”. What. How.
