Last time Sherman played Detroit, he was matched on Titus Young, and got BURNED. Titus Young, not Calvin Johnson, and he lost anyway.

Sherman relies on technique, Peterson relies on athleticism. And Sherman is the overall better player, how many times do you see Peterson getting in on a tackle in the run game? Never, he's a little bitch that just backs up. If you look at the Lynch 79 yard TD, he had the opportunity to tackle him or push him out of bounds but made no real effort.

Biggest mistake for the Jets was letting him go. (although I'm not sure exactly how much he would've helped over the past few years, so it's kinda hard to say since at least they saved money for rebuilding )
