- According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Corey Graves’ comments about how WWE’s doctors advised him to retire was a shot at CM Punk. The site reports that when Graves put over WWE’s doctors as “world-class,” it was a rebuttal of Punk’s claim that Chris Amann bungled diagnosing his staph infection and tried to get him to continue competing while injured.

The site adds that “The fact Graves looks a lot like Punk and even had a similar character was not a coincidence before and certainly not here.”
