Last week, TNA announced a new show called “IMPACT WRESTLING: UNLOCKED” which will air on Saturdays as a part of their new contract with Destination America. They have now announced that the show will be hosted by long-time commentator Mike Tenay.

During IMPACT WRESTLING: UNLOCKED viewers will get an enhanced experience as the screen comes alive with match facts and stats, as well as bonus commentary and exclusive footage taking fans deeper into the intriguing characters, captivating stories and fascinating personal lives of the TNA Superstars.

In addition, each week during IMPACT WRESTLING: UNLOCKED, Tenay will reveal the IMPACT WRESTLING Top 5, a power ranking of the top five heavyweights in TNA. This new ranking system is sure to spark controversy, debate, and most importantly, competition.

Former WWE announcer Josh Matthews will be replacing Mike Tenay as the play-by-play booth alongside Taz when Impact Wrestling resumes in 2015.

Power rankings have no place in wrestling. This is stupid.

They had a power ranking system in 2010 i do believe....it sucked

It because of the way they did it sucked. With Powerranking to work imo, it must be more then just Win/Lose record. Crowd reaction, impact (no pun intended) the wrestler made.

You can also have their ranking number beside their name when they make their entrances and the name graphic pops up. Also shows their W/L/D record as well. Give it a more sporting feel to it.

Give the other division rankings as well.

Power rankings are just really stupid plot devices. They can never work. That's why the promotions that make money don't do it.

You are acting like this is going to kill TNA. Dixie is already doing that lol. Anyways, I think it can work. Pro-Wrestling is a fake sport, so why not do what other sports do, like the NBA, NFL and college sport. its something different from the WWE at least. and Actually make it meaningful if you are going to do it. Make the it where being the top 5 is a big fucking deal, where you can be in higher card matches and get contender matches. I think it can work, but idk if TNA is the company that can pull it off.
