Freddie Prinze Jr. has undergone spinal surgery and is ''learning to walk again''.

The 'Scooby-Doo' star had the operation on November 20 to correct some ''disc issues'' and his rehabilitation is going well.

Freddie - who is married to Sarah Michelle Gellar - has been posting updates on his condition to his fans on his Twitter page and although he still has to wear a neck brace he is up on his feet.

Revealing what his operation was for, he revealed in tweets: ''Private medical info amigos. Lets say i had some disc issues that have been resolved. 'Nuff said friends ... Guys Im totally fine. Recovering great ... Trust your homie. (sic)''

Freddie has been diligently following his rehabilitation programme and has been posting regular updates to his followers on Twitter.

It seems the 38-year-old actor has incorporated the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques of UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie into his recovery programme.

Accompanied by a photo of him throwing a hand shape, he tweeted: ''3 miles people! (sic)''

Other posts read: ''#KeepItPlayful Learnin to walk again is like learning jiu-jitsu - 1 technique at a time ... #Graciejiujitsu Mental training. Visualize your technique. Then when youre healthy, you dont have to think anymore. (sic)''

Freddie is back on his feet and has been seen out walking in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles with his wife Sarah and their children, Charlotte, five, and Rocky, two.

During his down time, he has been playing video games and watching sports on TV
