As of now, the current plan in WWE is to scrap the Elimination Chamber PPV in February, and potentially move it to June, replacing the Payback PPV. Payback will likely be moved to May or a different month.

If WWE does indeed go through with this plan, the idea will be to use the Elimination Chamber PPV/match to help setup the main event of SummerSlam in August.
Foley Calls Goldust’s WWE Run “Inspiring”

Mick Foley posted the following on Facebook regarding Goldust’s current WWE run:

“I think JBL said it best during last night’s #HellInACell PPV when Jerry Lawler mentioned that Goldust was moving as well as he had 15 years earlier. “As well?”, JBL asked. “I think he’s moving even better.” I think so too.

“Several months ago, I wrote a post, asking if Goldust might just have one last run in him. I think he’s answered that question, and exceeded everyone’s expectations for what a veteran of his age, with as much wear and tear on his body could reasonably expect to accomplish. In fact, I find his comeback, and the level he’s worked at for the past year – along with his ability to bring brother Cody into his bizarre world, to form one of the most enjoyable teams on the scene, to be inspiring and noteworthy.”

I like Elimination Chamber deciding the Main Event of Summerslam.

Just call the Feb PPV No Way Out again, it should of never been replaced.

can the whole Feb PPV all together. Replace it with a Saturday Night Main Event on NBC. 

Money in the bank PPV gone and move the MITB match back to Wrestlemania

bring back the King of the Ring PPV and have it be the PPV before Summerslam. Have the winner of the King of the ring get a World title match at Summerslam.

the Elimination Chamber match gets move to Survivor Series.

They should just get rid of the February PPV all together and air episodes of WWE Slam City in it's place

It makes since for New Japan to have a month or two between title defenses because that's how it is with all the champions, not just one.

Money in the Bank is my 2nd favorite PPV behind the Royal Rumble tho.

Um, NBC doesn't carry Saturday Night Main Event. And almost surely isn't interested in renewing it.

There's not going to be a drop in number of "PPVs" because that's the major selling point of the Network, getting all the PPVs so cheap.
