- Former WWE Superstar, Alberto Del Rio, will reportedly work Lucha Underground at the episode tapings. Del Rio is currently under contract with AAA and is billed as El Patron Alberto.

- Lucha Underground officials reportedly brought in more names to showcase a product that had a more lucha libre style. The change was made after the first set of Lucha Underground TV tapings were criticized for not being “Lucha enough.” As previously reported, Chavo Guerrero was an agent for the first episode and told the wrestlers to “do less” and make the moves mean more, similar to the WWE.

- A Lucha Underground Championship will reportedly introduced for the promotion later this year.
