Yesterday, I was on YouTube watching a tag-team match from SmackDown!, circa January 2005. During that match, Michael Cole noted that later in the broadcast, JBL was to be awarded the "Florida Agricultural Group Man of the Year Award." That caught my interest, so I looked it up, and stumbled upon the middle of a very short, completely-forgotten storyline, with absolutely no context:



Here are the highlights of the segment if you don't want to watch it:

-WWE Champion JBL is given the Florida Agricultural Group Man of the Year award
-Yes, that's F.A.G. Man of the Year Award
-Kurt Angle interrupts, accuses JBL of being involved with the disappearance of Joy Giovanni, which JBL denies
-Kurt Angle hears a noise coming from the trunk of JBL's limousine
-Joy Giovanni is in the trunk, tied up and apparently kidnapped
-JBL still denies all of this while medics tend to Joy
-Big Show comes out, because apparently he was in love with Joy Giovanni
-Big Show is pissed, enters the ring to destroy JBL and his Cabinet members
-Pretty awful beatdown ensues, JBL escapes

I remember Angle vs. JBL vs. Big Show happening, and Show challenging JBL for the title in a cage match afterwards, but I had no recollection of this angle, which made it that much more enjoyable watching it randomly yesterday. Have you ever discovered a storyline in the middle of it, and been confused as fuck?
