As we previously reported, WWE star Batista was recently a guest on “Talk is Jericho,” hosted by Chris Jericho, and The Animal expressed the following frustration regarding the aftermath of the WrestleMania 30 main event:
“This is what I was bent out of shape about. I loved the match. I loved that we put him [Daniel Bryan] over in the best way possible. We threw out all the bells and whistles, everything. Even up to the point of me tapping out.
But the next night we came back and they didn’t want him selling. It wasn’t his fault. You know, Daniel is an incredible worker man, and knows what he’s doing. But they didn’t want him to come back selling. Which drove me nuts man, because we beat the hell out of the guy, the guy’s being pulled off in a stretcher. He gets off the stretcher and comes back and wins, but somehow mysteriously he’s all healed up the next night. That kind of stuff irks me to no end, man.”
In related news, reports have indicated over the past couple weeks that the success of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” coupled with his disappointment in his last WWE run, could mean Batista might not return to the company as originally planned.
According to PWInsider.com, Batista remains disappointed in how WWE booked his return back in January of this year, although he has expressed interest in working a potential retirement match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31. There has been no word from WWE, however, that the company has any plans to go in that direction with Batista.
