Today I was informed that TNA live events are on an official hiatus, and apart from the shows that are listed on their website, there will be no further house shows for the foreseeable future. In terms of the UK tour next year, I would expect that to still go ahead because they will draw big enough crowds to cover the cost of doing it and the plan is to still tape Impact at the Wembley show.
TNA are in a re-structuring stage in terms of their live events, and as it stands at the moment the main focus is on the TV side of their business. The company have pulled all future house shows because they were under-performing and they went back to some markets too soon, primarily because of sponsorship deals.
The hope is to return to house shows at a later date.
Those TNA colleagues who were part of the live events team have all been let go, although if TNA does indeed restructure the way they produce house shows, they could indeed be back.
Jimmy Jay who worked with the merchandising has also been released along with other merchandise staffers and a member of the graphics team.
