St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is out for the 2014 season after an MRI disclosed he tore the ACL in his left knee in Saturday night's preseason game against the Browns, according to multiple sources.

It is the same injury that sidelined Bradford in the middle of last season.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher is expected to confirm the news at his 5 p.m. CT news conference after meeting with his staff.

Bradford took what appeared to be a light hit from Cleveland's Armonty Bryant as he threw incomplete to tight end Jared Cook. Bradford shrugged Bryant off, but the defensive lineman made contact with the quarterback's left knee.

Bradford fell to the ground in pain as Rams doctors and trainers rushed to his side. He limped off the field under his own power but favoring the left leg as he went to the locker room for further examination.

Bradford was making his second start of the preseason after returning from a season-ending torn left ACL suffered against Carolina on Oct. 20, 2013. Bradford went 4 of 9 for 77 yards before leaving.

Welp, Rams are DEFINITELY picking up another QB next season.

Sucks for Bradford, dude is unlucky. Hope he gets healthy to turn his career around.

But what I hate even more is that I wanted him to start and for the Rams to finish under .500 again to prove all the people praising that team wrong. They're not gonna be a sleeper team this season - with or without Bradford.


I actually do like their backup, though. But like I said, I don't expect much from them this season regardless.

The Jets are better at literally every offensive position (RB is the only debatable one but the Jets are deeper.. both are deep at RB tho won't deny that). And the offensive side is where the Jets are weak at. That front 7 shits all over the Rams' front 7. Jets have a questionable secondary but much more potential there to complement the rest of that beastly defense than the Rams have.

I think the Rams surprise some people. Shaun Hill is a top 32 NFL QB. The move from Bradford to Hill probably isn't that big of a deal tbh

Sanchize is better than people remember. The Jets organization cared more about making headlines then winning football, and had no concept of how to build around Sanchez. Two years his top target was Dustin Keller.

It's never too late. Kurt Warner proved that. The Jets ARE doing that with Geno right now. No excuse for your college WRs to be better than your NFL WRs. Jets need to grab a real number one.

True, although I'd be satisfied with another WR on the level of Decker to have Decker, ???, Kerley / maybe Hill in there at times if he can start catching the damn ball and that ??? guy is good in the slot.


Also, you guys are right. If the Rams did get Sanchez I'd honestly jump on that Rams sleeper bandwagon.
