Late last week, PWInsider.com reported WWE Hall of Famer Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat had been released from WWE due to budget cuts, as he recently accepted several non-WWE related appearances.

In the past 48 hours, however, it appears as if WWE might have changed its mind and re-hired Steamboat, as he has since reached out to the non-WWE promoters and told them that he would no longer be able to appear for them unless they reached out to WWE for approval.
