After a bit of a wait, Nintendo and developer Koei Tecmo have revealed the next entry in their supernatural horror franchise, and it looks creepy. Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden will release exclusively on the Wii U on September 27 in Japan. The fact that no Western release was even mentioned doesn’t really surprise me, but that doesn’t make it any less disappointing. I hope we’ll get a chance to play it, because if this trailer is any indication, the game looks fantastic.
Also worth noting is the focus on water as a central theme of the game. Silent Hill: Downpour did this too, and it turned out pretty great.
