M9. Evan Flare vs. Kahlan Empty
PostSubject: Re: M9. Evan Flare vs. Kahlan   M9. Evan Flare vs. Kahlan EmptySat Jul 19, 2014 11:40 pm

OOC -- Sorry this wasn't what I wanted it to be. Kahlan not being on since Tuesday really killed my desire to write. Also, don't waste your time giving me feedback. Worry about something else.

After the entrances are through and both competitors stand in opposite corners, the camera does the slow fade away to show the competitors and the camera-side crowd. On one side, Kahlan looks anxious, determined, like a pit bull about to be let loose from it's cage. Kahlan stares intently at Flare, looking him up and down, occasionally  flaring her nostrils and jowls while gritting her teeth. On the other side, Evan Flare looks much less anxious, a cold, disturbed demeanor hangs over him as he looks carefully across the ring with the top ring rope in either hand. He leans carelessly forward and hasn't blinked in what seems like forever. His glaze is a million miles through his opponent. The referee stands between them with his arms extended slightly away from his body with his palms opened outward to demonstrate his position of power. He looks back and forth, checking to see if the competitors are ready. He turns quickly looks at the time keeper and raises both hands to signal to the time keeper to start the match.

DING DING DING

Kahlan explodes out of the corner and gets down into a wrestling stance to advance forward. Evan Flare swallows and looks down as he slowly removes his hands from the rope. He takes a deep breath and looks up at his opponent, who returns a glare and an inaudible scream. Flare takes a step out of the corner and gets down into a wrestling stance, but does so halfheartedly, with his arms dangling to either side.  Simultaneously, both competitors start to shuffle their feet to circle around the ring, and again, it is made clear that one of them simply does not want to be there. Evan stops cold and stands up, as does Kahlan. Kahlan's expression changes drastically as she becomes confused as to what's going on.

Evan looks back at the referee and asks him something. The referee replies in return, but nothing was able to be recorded. Evan looks down again and scratches his head. Once again, Kahlan's expression is full of fury, apparently because of something Evan said.  She screams something at him and Evan just shakes his head back in return. Evan exhales as he looks  at Kahlan, and slowly lies down on the mat. Again, Kahlan looks furious. She walks toward him and looks down and says something that apparently makes him mad, as his expression changes as well. Evan screams “Just count me out! I'm on the mat!” at the referee, and because he's on the mat the mic picks him up. The referee starts a 10 count, but after his first count Kahlan gets in his face, with her right index finger less than an inch from his nose, and can be seen mouthing the words “If you count him out I'm going to kick your ass.”  Evan sits up and looks at her and screams “What the fuck do you want from me?”

At this point, the fans are fed up and are booing pretty heavily.

Ted Cedar: “What the hell is going on here? Is this a wrestling match or not?”

Joey Miles: “Can't you say Flare is trying to get some action!? Why else would he lay down in the ring like that!?”

Evan gets up slowly, but before he can even stand up straight Kahlan is in his face. The camera zooms in from the side and she keeps yelling “fight me!” directly into his face. She's seething at this point, and the crowd is picking back up. Evan reaches to the side and grabs the rope, turning to the referee and asking him to get Kahlan out of his face. She takes a half step back, but lunges forward with a mighty right handed slap that paintbrushes his face. The sound echos throughout the arena and the crowd pops as they finally get some action. Kahlan screams at the top of her lungs “Fight me motherfucker!”

Evan's expression shifts drastically, and anger starts to creep in. He scowls a little, but doesn't lose his cool. He takes his  right hand and raises it toward her face, pointing directly at her mouth, before mouthing some words that weren't audible. Kahlan reaches up with her left hand and discards Evan's hand from her path, before leaning in and connecting with another right-handed slap that echos throughout the building. The crowd is standing in anticipation and pops loud for the Brits Blitz. She takes a step back, preparing for a reply, and screams again. “Fight me you fucking coward!” this time with the six second live delay catching the expletive in time. Evan explodes out from the ropes and grabs a double-leg on Kahlan, lifting and driving Kahlan backward as he skews into the corner and throws her into the turnbuckle. Her arms extend outward to catch the ropes, but leave her unprotected, as Evan plants his left foot into the mat, spins, and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that collides Flare's right fist into Kahlan's face, just below the ear. The blow has such force behind it that Kahlan actually is knocked off her feet as she tries to hang on desperately clawing at the turnbuckle to stay in the ring.

Joey Miles: “Good! That bitch got exactly what she had coming to her!”

Ted Cedar: “I reckon she got more than she bargained for there. What a savage blow from Evan Flare....”

Evan's anger is completely gone from his expression as the camera zooms in on him. Kahlan's right hand is covering the side of her face as she's leaning against the ropes, using only her left hand grasping the top rope for balance. Evan mouths “Are you sure you want this?” Kahlan, breathing heavy, looks up at Evan Flare in disbelief. She pulls herself up using her left hand and pauses for a moment. Evan looks down slightly at her, awaiting a response. She removes her hand from her face and exposes to the world that she's bleeding from her mouth. The anger we seen before rushes back to her face as she leans forward and spits her bloody saliva into Evan's face! He closes his eyes and quickly tries to clear his face of the spit, but Kahlan follows up with offense, hitting Flare with strong overhand rights as he's virtually defenseless.

She uses her strikes to walk the much larger Flare into the middle of the ring as he backs up with every connection. When he's in the spot she wants, she takes off toward the ropes. Evan finally discards the spit from his face to clear his site, but looks up to find no one in front of him. Kahlan has bounced off the ropes to his left and has returned with a running drop kick to the knee that shifts Flare's base out from underneath him, dropping him to the mat. He throws his hands out to catch his fall, and gets to the task of returning to his feet immediately. Kahlan doesn't pause in her aggression, though, and runs toward the ropes in front of Flare this time. Flare gets to one knee just in time to catch another dropkick, this time to his sternum as he falls backward and turns to his chest once again to get up to his feet. Kahlan, again, dashes to the ropes and returns with a third dropkick, catching Flare right in the side of the head, knocking him over and sending him sprawling out of the ring.

Ted Cedar: “We're seeing a lot of emotion come out in this contest thus far.”

Joey Miles: “Yeah I think Kahlan is mad about something. Probably lost her glasses.”

Flare leans over the apron trying to catch his breath for a moment. Kahlan, despite her outburst, looks fresh in the middle of the ring. She signals for Flare to rejoin the match, and after a second to pause, he does. He grabs the middle rope and pulls his left knee up to the apron. Kahlan walks toward him, looking to take advantage of the situation once again. Flare sees her coming this time, and drops off the apron. He leans in and grabs both of her feet, tugging them toward him, knocking her off balance, causing her to fall to her back on the mat with a solid thud. Evan grabs tightly around her boots and uses his full body weight to pull her. Kahlan goes flying like on a slip and slide as she prepares to drop to the outside back-first, but Evan's offense is a bit more complex than that. Evan positions his planted knee beneath where she'll land and connects with a makeshift back-breaker. Her spine bends around his knee like a fulcrum as her center of gravity slowly creeps toward her head as she falls back. Evan pulls his leg out from underneath her, turns, and connects with a right-elbow that he drives right into her collarbone.

Evan gets up quickly and elects not to continue his offense on the outside. He instead slides into the ring and rolls to the middle before standing up. Kahlan isn't  in a hurry to get to her feet. She rubs her collarbone as she stares up into the lights. She rolls to her stomach and pushes off the ground, lifting herself to her feet.  Evan waits with his hands on his hips in the middle of the ring. Kahlan makes slow, calculated movements, grabbing the middle rope and lifting herself up to the apron before stepping through the ropes. The crowd is at a curious state, unsure of what they're about to see, but the wrestlers have the same expression. They look at each other, puzzled. They creep toward each other with shallow steps, inching toward each other. Suddenly, they both lunge forward and throw their arms out for a collar-and-elbow tie-up.

Ted Cedar: “Well by god, we might see a wrestling match tonight after all”

Joey Miles: “You say that like it's a good thing...”

Kahlan slips her left arm out from the hold and slides it across the face of Flare, turning slightly and grabbing a double-arm hold of Evan's left arm as she drops down to one knee, swinging her arms over her head and bringing Evan with her for a throw that lands Evan on his back. Evan quickly finds himself in a seated position, but Kahlan moves forward to continue her attack. She slides her right arm underneath Evan's neck and grabs a sturdy chin lock. She locks her hands together under his chin and clutches, while leaning to one side to create a two-pronged attack. Evan attempts for a moment to slide his hands underneath Kahlan's grip but is unsuccessful initially. Evan focuses his attention on her left arm, which has the least power behind it because of the right-sided position of her body. With both hands, The Franchise grabs her arm right at the wrist and slowly pulls the grip apart. Once the grip is broken, however, he does not let go. He turns his body around his arms to position them at his chest, the center of power.. This turn and grip has created an arm-twist scenario for Flare, who has complete control of Kahlan's left arm as she tries to move to her feet quickly to avoid having control completely taken away. She beats Flare to her feet, but only barely, and does not avoid being vulnerable.

Kahlan turns her body into the hold to maintain what control she has left and stay partially guarded. Flare throws a quick left-footed straight kick into Kahlan's right shin, dropping her to one knee. His foot comes back to the original planted position but fires back off looking to connect with a high body kick, but Kahlan flexes her right bicep and tucks her elbow in tight to block the blow. Flare lets out a quick smile which likely goes unnoticed by those at home, seeing his opportunity flash in front of him. Flare turns southpaw and uses both of his arms to yank Kahlan's arm toward him. He does a jump-plant, temporarily leaving the ground with both feet, bringing the original kicking leg to the mat, but closer to Kahlan this time, and uses his right leg to cut through the air, connecting with a blood curdling knee to the stomach that bends Kahlan's spine over his knee shortly before her nerves give out and she drops to the mat like gelatin.

Ted Cedar: “I haven't seen this cold, calculated side of Evan Flare in some time.”

Joey Miles: “You haven't seen the gym either, or your penis, or a date.”

Evan leans over and uses one hand, with his arm in a curl position, to flip Kahlan onto her back, and her hands stay soothing her ailing midsection. Evan drops down to the mat and hooks the outside leg, but Kahlan immediately moves her right hand away from her stomach and into Evan's face, engulfing it as he pushes his face away, breaking the cover before it can get started. The crowd is on edge, completely caught off guard from the way the match has progressed to this point. Evan gets to his feet quickly and grabs Kahlan by the hair and picks her up. She grabs her hair as well to try to relieve some pressure as she's jerked to her feet. Evan slides his hands into place on her hips and throws her into the corner. He takes a step closer and grabs the top rope for balance as he fires off with kicks that strike Kahlan in the chest. After the third kick she starts to slump in the corner. After the fifth kick she falls on to the mat on her butt.

Evan backs away with a smirk on his face, slowly moving toward the center of the ring. He motions for Kahlan to get up, and she obliges. She grinds her jaw and takes a deep breath as her doleful expression slowly shifts to a more glazed look. She caresses her stomach and squints her eyes as she gradually makes her way to her feet. She walks slightly hunched over into the middle of the ring and once again positions her arms as if to throw for another collar-and-elbow tie-up, but instead the experience veteran shoots for a single leg take-down instead. Evan, caught a bit off guard, throws himself backward to defend, but not in time to stop the grab attempt. Evan falls backward with his right leg in his opponent's grasp. Kahlan gets to a hands-and-knees position allowing her a slight vertical advantage. Evan picks up his left leg into a bent position, approximately at 90 degrees, and throws shallow kicks attempting to scare Kahlan out of the spot.

Ted Cedar: “Impressive single leg there from Kahlan!”

Joey Miles: “I'm not really a leg guy so I'll take your word for it.”

Kahlan didn't get deep on Evan's leg so she's not in a great position to attack. She attempts to stall by doing a combination of head-fakes, but ends up with Flare's boot in her face, pushing her away and breaking her grasp. She falls on her back but quickly gets to her feet. She sprints to the ropes, hits, and sprints toward Flare. Evan can't get to his feet in time so he does a jump-dive, getting as close as to Kahlan as possible before returning to his midsection. Kahlan has to jump over the top of Evan, and does so. She sprints toward the other side of the ring and hits the rope while Evan springs up to his feet. Evan takes shuffle steps into the center of the ring and positions himself. Evan leaps into the arrow, hoping the returning Kahlan would glide underneath him, but instead she slows down in time to stop underneath him, catching his thighs on her shoulders and using his momentum against him, connecting with a Power Bomb! Evan's back crashes into the mat as his head snaps backward. Because of where Kahlan was positioned, Evan's legs fall on top of him and like a Slinky they fold over him, causing him to reverse somersault, finally coming to rest on the mat stomach first. The crowd explodes with cheers. Kahlan, not used to that sort of a reaction, looks around for a split second, confused, before it sinks in.

She drops her eyes down to Evan. She takes a half step toward him and reaches down, grabbing him by his hair, and pulling him to his feet. Evan grabs his hair, like Kahlan did, to try to relieve some pressure. She drives her knee into Evan's midsection, buckling him over. She leans in toward him and reaches over his head, locking in a headlock. Evan grabs Kahlan's inside leg immediately and lifts up, bringing her off her feet. Evan then, as fast as he can manage, runs her toward the turnbuckle. Kahlan has no reasonable defense and braces for impact. Her side collides with the turnbuckles. Evan, noticing her grip had loosened, releases his right hand from her leg and wraps it around the top of her head, and violently snaps backward himself, connecting with a fisherman's suplex. He does not bridge the hold looking for a pin. Evan turns to his stomach, and gets into push-up form does a few before pushing himself up to his feet. The crowd does not respond favorably, throwing some boos his way for the first time since the start of the contest.

Ted Cedar: “Oh wow Evan, you can do some push-ups? What the hell has gotten into this young man?”

Joey Miles: “You know you really could use to do some push-ups, Ted. I think maybe he was trying to be subtle and give you a hint.”

Evan doesn't respond to the crowd, and goes back on the offensive. He drops to his knees, crashing them into Kahlan's fingers. She immediately pulls her hand into her chest and grabs it with her other hand in pain as she winces and exhales. Evan returns to his feet with minimal effort and begins mocking Kahlan.. The broadcast switches to a secondary camera feed that zooms in on Evan as he speaks. “I thought this is what you wanted! I thought you wanted to prove a point!” The broadcast is returned to the traditional side-feed as Evan gradually backs away once again, this time into the corner. He throws his arms out to the top rope on either side of him as he looks down at Kahlan as she rubs the back of her neck. Kahlan turns to her stomach and pushes herself up to her feet. She lets out a deep breath and brushes herself off. She turns toward Evan and makes eye contact. She then begins to walk over to him at a quick pace, and throws another huge right-handed slap that paintbrushes Evan's face, knocking him off balance. Evan responds quickly, putting his hands on her shoulders and throwing her backward.

She gets to her feet quickly but catches a running clothesline from Evan. Her back smacks the mat, but she gets right back up. In the meantime, Evan runs toward the ropes and returns with another running clothesline, but this time stands in place and waits for Kahlan to rush to her feet, which she does. Evan grabs her by her left wrist and places his right hand on her shoulder to push her backward as he walks her into the ropes to create momentum. She bounces off the ropes and Evan yanks her forward, throwing her for an Irish Whip. She bounces off the ropes and comes back toward Evan as he charges forward, connecting with a third running clothesline. This time, with the extra element of speed introduced, it “turns Kahlan inside out,” flipping and turning through the air before landing on her stomach with a sickening thud. The momentum turns her over as she comes to rest on her back. Evan goes for a pin, hooking the outside leg and casually turning to face the camera with a big grin on his face.

Ted Cedar: “What a god damned clothesline!”

Joey Miles: “I saw Jeff Harvey do that same thing once while he was on meth, swear to god.”

Kickout from Kahlan at 2.

The crowd jumps to their feet with cheers as they were convinced that was the end! Evan releases his hold of Kahlan's leg and rolls off of her and onto his back as he looks up at the lights for a moment. Kahlan is beginning to stir behind him, Evan turns his head to the right slightly, having seen her in his peripheral vision, and begins to get up himself. He once again walks over to Kahlan and picks her up by the hair. He grabs her by the wrist and wraps his other hand around her back and throws her for an Irish Whip into the corner. He runs after her and leaps into the air looking for a splash, but Kahlan throws her feet up and drives them into Evan's face! Evan falls backward, flipping over himself in a fluid motion and tries to get back up quickly, but he isn't quick enough, as Kahlan explodes out of the corner, leaps into the air and connects with a Busaiku knee! Evan lands on his shoulders before his lower body comes crashing down as well like a controlled demolition! Kahlan turns to rolls away from Evan to create a bit of space, and on her back, reaches back and puts her palms into the mat and uses them to kip up! The crowd jumps to their collective feet to cheer!

Kahlan plays up to the crowd, shaking her slightly extended arms in a short, controlled, but violent manner. She clinches her fists in tight as she prepares for to get to his feet. Evan gets to one knee, but Kahlan can't wait any longer as she throws a spinning heel kick that catches Evan in the temple, dropping him back down to the mat! Kahlan takes a half-step toward him and drops down to one knee to get a better position. She positions her hands underneath his torso and lifts him up while driving, pushing him onto his back. She gets back up and wipes the sweat from her brow before turning the opposite direction, and walking toward the ropes. She stops just before and grabs a hold of the top rope with both hands. She pulls the rope toward her and down to help her get momentum as she jumps into the air and plants her feet on the middle rope, before springing off and connecting with a Springboard Moonsault! Her body lands flush with Evan's midsection as he legs fly into the air from the contact! She briefly bounds off her opponent, but quickly scoots into position, hooking the outside leg.

Ted Cedar: “That has to be it! Cover him”

2.

Kickout at 2 from Evan Flare.

The crowd returns to their seats as they were, if only for a short time, convinced that Kahlan had just beat Evan. Kahlan rolls away from Evan once more and returns to her feet with the assistance of the ropes. The crowd is chanting for her, now. Evan slowly turns to his stomach and begins to lift himself up. He's breathing heavily as he pushes against the mat. First he gets on one knee, and then he plants the other. Kahlan comes charging in, but Evan had been playing possum and connects with a thumb to the eye! The crowd boos ravenously! Evan leans in and throws a mighty left elbow into the midsection of Kahlan that bends her over. He reaches over her back and locks his grip. He pulls her into the air, looking for The Blood Reign, but Kahlan breaks his grip with her hands and drops off of his back. She reaches back with both arms and hooks Evan's arms and bends over with all of her power, pulling him down for a Backslide!

2.

Kickout at 2 and a half from Evan Flare!

The crowd once again exhales as they were convinced Kahlan had the match won! She starts slapping the mat in a rhythm, getting the crowd to clap at the same pace. Evan is staggering to his feet, showing his exhaustion from his first match in quite some time. Kahlan gets to her feet and waits for Evan. When Evan gets to his feet, she charges toward him and leaps into the air, looking for her double-knee Facebuster finisher, but Evan reaches out and grabs the back of her legs, spins to his right, and delivers a crushing Spinebuster! Evan pops up to his feet and throws his arms up in the air in an attempt to work the crowd, and boy does it work. The crowd has completely turned on Evan, and are giving him nothing but boos. Fans are standing in the crowd with their hands out and their thumbs down in a high number.  Evan looks down at Kahlan and makes a motion with his hand at his throat, slowly dragging it across his neck.

He grabs a chunk full of Kahlan's hair and once again pulls her up to her feet. He pulls her into his chest and throws a right knee that crashes into her midsection and bends her over. He grabs the gutwrench grip and pulls her up to his shoulder, but again she breaks the grip and drops out from the back! This time she sprints toward the ropes and returns and leaps into the air, grabbing Evan behind the head and looking to hit her finisher!. Evan once again catches her, but this time they drift backward. Having thwarted her offensive attack, she lets go of her grip as Evan does as well. Evan pushes her with his right arm away from him as she stumbles backward hoping to stay on her feet. Evan sprints toward her and dives to the right of her, turning and hooking his right arm through her legs and rolling her up! The referee gets into position and starts the count!

DING DING DING

Laura Watts: “Here is your winner, EVAN FLARE!!!”

You can barely hear her as the crowd drowns out her voice with the chorus of boos.
