Back-up plans being August 17 at 1:00 PM or the week before that.
For now, August 16 at 1 PM ET is the official draft time for this year's league unless a number of people know they won't be able to make it ahead of time. So post here if you're sure you can't make it or might not be able to.

Also, anyone have any problems with any of the settings for the league last year? I think everything was fine and don't think there were any complaints for anything but here's the main settings from last year to review:

Multiple opinions to change anything could result in that being changed. But once I make the league (in about a week or less, just gonna allow a few days for people to see this and discuss anything), it'll be much less likely that anything will be changed.

I think you should do Playoff reseeding.

So then top seed always goes against worst seed throughout the playoffs, etc.? Didn't even think about that option for some reason.

I think some people didn't like the amount of points defenses or kickers (or something) were getting?


Also one of the main things to consider is if 45 seconds per pick is ok? I think it's perfect cause a draft that gets too slow is boring, especially with 16 people... but 60 seconds would also be fine... and might satisfy the people who can't think about their picks before their turn.

I think Defense and Kickers are fine. It's the neutral setting for most leagues.

Actually, I'll be adding -1 for missed FG's since that was in the scoring for most of my other leagues last year (there's only -1 for missed PATs for some reason). Not a really big difference either way.

Other than that I think both seem fine, too.

45 seconds is more than enough time to make a pick.

Yeah, we should have more time per pick. I remember Huh running out of time every other round last year. I almost ran out a couple times too.

Huh's a dumbass though.

Set the time to 45 seconds. Last year Huh didnt know what the fuck he was doing so he waited till the last second to make his choice.

I like 6 points for passing TDs.

Y'all be hating on QBs.

Don't like playoff reseeding: play the hand you're dealt just like any other playoff.

Just my opinions.

4 points per passing touchdown is standard scoring tho.

And QBs already score a bunch with +4 per passing TD.


Also, the NFL has playoff reseeding. I prefer no playoff reseeding as well but since the NFL does it, it's a good match to use it for fantasy football.

4 points is better.

I don't mind 4 pts or 6 pts.

No other position can get 2+ and 3+ TDs anywhere near as frequent as QBs. So IMO 4 points per TD is definitely enough.
