In a Facebook post yesterday, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has strongly hinted that the band would not be hanging up their boots after their current tour finishes, instead saying, “…we’ll see you on the next tour.”

Iommi has been struggling with health issues for the past few years has been understandably hesitant to commit fully to any Sabbath plans, so this statement is especially surprising and welcomed! You can watch the video below.

The full video transcript reads:

Hello everybody. I wanna thank you for all your messages on Facebook. It’s been great. We’ve had a laugh, and some of them have been really great and very supportive. Thanks so much. I am at home at the moment, about to leave for Hyde Park, which we’ll play tomorrow, and I’m really looking forward to that. The tour has been marvelous; we’ve had a great year, and you couldn’t wish for better. It’s been phenomenal ,and you’ve been phenomenal. And thanks for coming to the shows and being supportive. Thank you very much and we’ll see you on the next tour. Thank you very much. Bye.
