I long for a day where the midcard is actually focused on leading up to PPVs instead of just randomly thrown together matches

All of those matches have had build-up though.

 

The only rushed one was Rusev vs. Big E.

Paige/Naomi and Rybaxel/Rhodes have had very little buildup, and i dont count random matches/encounters as feud enhancement. The only match on the card that's had the proper build is the Usos/Wyatts.

most of those feuds are build up on Superstar and main event really, which not many people watch or can watch

Summer Rae/Layla has been built up for months.
