Former WWE Diva Eve Torres has landed a recurring role on the El Rey Network show "Matador." The following is an excerpt from a press release announcing Torres' role on the show:

"Eve Torres will portray Reyna Flores, a sideline journalist who reports on Tony's rise to sudden fame. She is sharp, ambitious and fit, a former college player herself who is as passionate about the game as she is about her career trajectory."

Backstage Details on Why WWE Released Aksana
With regards to WWE releasing Aksana, The Wrestling Observer is reporting the former Diva used to one of Kevin Dunn's favorites, but aside from Dunn, she had little support backstage.

WWE is also making room for more NXT Diva call-ups, with Charlotte and Sasha Banks expected make main roster debuts in the near future, so that, along with Kevin Dunn cooling off on her, ultimately lead to Aksana's release.
