Warner Bros has announced plans for a reboot of the live-action Scooby Doo movie franchise.
In 2002 Sarah Michelle Gellar, Freddie Prince Jr, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini starred in a live-action adaptation of the popular cartoon show.
A follow-up titled Scooby Doo: Monsters Unleashed came out two years later, but failed to make a mark at the box office.
According to Deadline, Randall Green has been tapped to write a new script that will relaunch the live-action series.
The news comes just days after the death of radio icon Casey Kasem, well-known as the voice of Shaggy on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon.
Cartoon Network recently announced plans for an animated reboot of Scooby Doo, set to debut later this year.
