| According to the Wrestling Observer, TNA has reportedly contacted several ROH talents about joining the company. ROH management is making sure that there are no contractual loopholes that TNA can exploit. Davey Richards spoke with Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole to inquire about their interest in coming to TNA, but that was not a call on behalf of the company. Adam Cole’s name was also mentioned; however, a number of ROH talents are expected to get good paying shots in New Japan towards the end of the year. ROH working with New Japan allows them to work out dates and is a nice way to keep their talents from leaving, but TNA is still the bigger and better paying company than ROH. Update: PWInsider reports that Jay Lethal turned down an offer to appear at Destination X. TNA has had conversations with other talents who are not under ROH deals from time to time. A TNA source, when asked about the story, said, "All conversations with talents start with, "Are you under contract?' If the answer is yes, we don't go any further, ever." |

| I would imagine on the top end -- Kurt Angle, for instance, a few others -- that TNA's guarantee is larger than ROH's.
On the other hand, even contracted ROH guys can work other indy dates without (a) the indy promoter paying ROH a big fee and (b) without getting special permission -- as is the case with TNA.
So guys like Steen or Cole or the Briscoes, for instance, have been getting top-end ROH money PLUS picking up some decent indy paychecks on the side, so I bet they are making more than all but a handful, at most, of the TNA roster in actual annual income.
Plus, as pointed out, ROH seems to have a future. |

| ^ did TNA change the policy, cuz last i knew the performers could work as many indy dates as they wanted as long as they were not selling merchandise or recorded the match to be viewed at any time (IE future dvd sales) |

| ^ I believe TNA did change their policy. Contracted wrestlers are not allowed to wrestle for other promotions while under contract.
Now that I think about it, the only way AJ Styles was able to do that is because his contract was already expired and the last few episodes you saw him on Impact STILL as the World Heavyweight Champion were already pre-taped episodes. By the time he officially dropped the title to Magnus when they faced each other, he was already working ROH and NJPW events. |

| His first ROH match was in January. His first NJPW match was May 3rd, months after his TNA departure. The only reason why he was allowed to work indy dates as TNA Champion is because TNA authorized those title defenses. |

| Bully Ray was pulled from that House of Hardcore show this past weekend.
I think TNA has to approve all outside appearances and they get a cut or a booking fee -- Bad Influence, still under contract then, appeared on a DG USA show on WM weekend in New Orleans. |

| I'm just glad TNA is looking at talents that they could make as their own and not just ex-WWE guys. I've been wanting them to make/concentrate on their own stars for far too long, so this pleases me. |

| TNA definitely pays better than ROH. They were giving Hogan $2M per year. That's why you'd leave ROH for TNA. Other than that, I'm not really sure. |

| SpikeTV was fronting most of Hogan's contract, not TNA. |

| LOL, they will learn...if TNA could actually put out decent storylines, matches and use thier talent right, they would be a strong number 2 instead of a week 2/3 |

| The Wolves went to TNA because HHH didnt want to sign them. The only places for Richards to go were PWG or NJPW. |

Even if this is the truth you're in denial if you think ROH provides an opportunity to make more money than TNA. Why hasn't Joe gone back to ROH if he'd make more money there? It can't be because he's booked well in TNA. |

| Samoa Joe is booked well in TNA? Since when? He hasnt been booked properly in YEARS. Plus, if you could make more money in TNA then why havent most of the dudes in ROH/PWG/DGUSA jumped at the chance to go there? Most guys CAN and DO make more money in ROH + whatever indy companies feel they're worth it. Ive read dudes in TNA have had to get 2nd jobs just to support their families because TNA wasnt paying them enough to put food on their table. People who think TNA pays their talent that arent under actual contract well are delusional. |

You misread. I said it's obvious TNA pays more because Samoa Joe wouldn't stay there because of the way he's booked, as it's obvious they're morons that ruined his career. lol Also, you're probably right in most cases in that TNA does not pay as much as the indies as a whole, but TNA does pay more than ROH and whatever more money you get from doing the full indy schedule than TNA is negated by the fact it's five times the schedule. They're the second highest paying company by workload and I don't think that is a debatable fact. There are monetary gains to be made if you're willing to put in more work, but as far as pay/appearance goes, TNA > ROH I'm pretty sure. As far as why people don't jump to TNA, I'll go back to Samoa Joe. Other than money and the ability to get on Spike TV there isn't a good reason to jump... and when you factor in guys like Samoa Joe have went there and got ruined, you probably think twice. |

Plus Davey fucked up when he pissed off SBG. I'm sure they don't want anything to do with him anymore. I'm sure he'll also burn bridges when he leaves TNA. ____________________ |

| He apparently promoted a ROH event on Twitter the other day, and i read from another site that him and Edwards arent too happy with how their run has gone so far. Not sure if that's legit or not. |

| Earlier today, we posted a Wrestling Observer report noting TNA and Davey Richards recently reached out to top ROH names, notably Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Jay Lethal. All three are under contract to ROH, and are therefore unable to negotiate any terms with TNA at the moment.
The Observer report also noted sources within TNA claimed Richards was "going rogue," so to speak, and acted independently of TNA when reaching out to talent, however, sources close to the situation have informed WZ that's not entirely the case.
We were told TNA management absolutely has been part of the recruitment effort of ROH talent, and as opposed to it being a contractual issue, both ReDRagon and Jay Lethal simply had no interest in working for TNA.
Former WWE creative writer Court Bauer spoke more on the situation in his latest podcast with Konnan, which you can check out at MLWRadio.com. During the podcast, Bauer confirmed TNA's attempted "raid" of ROH talent prior to its Slammiversary PPV this weekend, and noted TNA officials had in fact reached out to talents within ROH. |

So ... TNA to ReDRagon and Jay Lethal: "We really want you guys, C'mon over. We'll make you stars just like we did Samoa Joe and Austin Aires. "By the way, have you seen Austin lately? We can't seem to find him. Anyway, we can guarantee you career-making matches with our very over champion, Eric Young." ReDragon and Jay Lethal: "LOLTNA." |

| TNA's biggest problem is that they really devalue their own talent.
And New Japan is as bigger promotion than TNA. Since ROH has a working agreement apparently it would be smarter to try hold off on TNA for awhile. ____________________ |
