Tom Hiddleston will star in the upcoming Hank Williams biopic I Saw the Light.
The Only Lovers Left Alive actor will do all of his own singing in the film, which will feature Williams classics 'I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry' and 'Your Cheatin' Heart'.
I Saw the Light will be directed by Marc Abraham and is to be shot on location in Louisiana beginning in October, reports Deadline.
Brett Ratner is among the project's producers.
Williams was one of the major country music stars throughout the late 1940s and early 1950s, but died on New Year's Day in 1953 at the age of 29 due to heart failure.
His legacy has only grown over the ensuing decades, and he is enshrined in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Hiddleston has most recently been seen on the big screen in Thor: The Dark World and Muppets Most Wanted.
