Louis Tomlinson is reportedly planning to mount a bid to buy Doncaster Rovers, the club he supports and has played for.
The 22-year-old One Direction star made his professional football debut for Doncaster reserves in a 0-0 draw in February, after signing a non-contract deal with the club last year.
According to The Sun, Tomlinson is in "advanced talks" to buy the League One team and become its chairman.
The singer, who was this week involved in a video that appeared to show him and bandmate Zayn Malik smoking marijuana, would become the first popstar chairman of a football club since Elton John's purchase of Watford in 1976.
Tomlinson and Liam Payne were named as the highest-earning members of the boyband in March.
The duo co-wrote almost half of the songs on the group's album Midnight Memories, meaning they receive a larger royalty cut than their fellow bandmates.
