A My Big Fat Greek Wedding sequel is in the works.
Nia Vardalos and John Corbett will return for the follow-up to the successful small-budget 2002 comedy, reports Variety.
Gold Circle and HBO Films are developing the project, with Vardalos returning to write the movie.
The film will once again focus on the Portokalos family, when a secret threatens to derail plans for an even bigger wedding.
"Now that I'm experiencing motherhood, I'm ready to write the next chapter of my family story," said Vardalos.
"Of course, a few jaded folks in the press corps will claim I ran out of money or just want to kiss John Corbett again. One of these things is true."
Vardalos will also direct the My Big Fat Greek Wedding sequel, with no word on filming or release dates as of yet.
